Here's a fairly alarming tweet from Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times:

Hernandez later noted that Jansen's condition is related to the arrythmic episodes that landed him on the DL back in July of 2011. He was also limited by a rapid heartbeat early in spring training. At the very least, it's shaping up to be a recurring problem. While nothing to do with the heart can be dismissed as non-serious, one hopes that this is some kind of easily correctable or manageable condition.

Baseball considerations are certainly secondary to Jansen's health right now, but it must be noted that any kind of extended absense on his part would be a serious blow to the Dodgers' bullpen.

On the season, the 24-year-old Jansen has a 2.57 ERA and a whopping 86 strikeouts in 56.2 innings pitched.
