Yankees closer Mariano Rivera gave up a hit and a walk in the ninth inning of Saturday's game against the Mariners but struck out three batters to prevent any scoring and earn his 22nd save of the season.

It was Rivera's first three-strikeout performance of the season. He last accomplished the feat in a regular-season game on June 26, 2011, against the Rockies. Rivera owns a 1.54 ERA and 23:3 K:BB ratio in 23 1/3 innings of work.
