Dodgers RHP Joel Peralta is behind schedule at the start of spring training, due to a sore shoulder, according to MLB.com's Ken Gurnick.

Manager Don Mattingly told Gurnick that Peralta was dealing with an unspecified physical issue and was behind schedule.

Peralta said that he felt shoulder discomfort two weeks ago during a bullpen session. He'll test the shoulder by playing catch on Sunday.

The 38-year-old Peralta was acquired in an offseason trade with the Rays. He was 3-4 with one save and a 4.41 ERA in 69 games last season.
