Making his first start since being suspended for throwing at Alex Rodriguez, Red Sox pitcher Ryan Dempster gave up three earned runs on five hits and three walks while striking out five in 6 1/3 innings in his team's 4-3 win over the White Sox Friday.

Dempster, who moved to 7-9 in the victory, earned just his second win since June 25. He takes a 4.75 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 137:67 K:BB ratio into Wednesday's matchup with the Tigers.
