Padres outfielder Tommy Medica went 3 for 5 with a double, a triple, a home run, two runs and three RBI in his team's 12-6 loss to the Diamondbacks Wednesday.
Medica came up in the ninth inning needing only a single to record the first cycle in franchise history, but it wasn't meant to be, as he flew out for the second out in the inning. He has been on a tear since returning to the team, and he has three hits and a home run in two straight games. Medica has hit .302/.333/.628 with three home runs and seven RBI in 43 at-bats.
