Vinnie Pestano to make first spring appearance Monday

Indians pitcher Vinnie Pestano is set to play in his first Cactus League game Monday after throwing a batting practice session Friday, the Cleveland Plain-Dealer reports.

"I threw batting practice today and felt good," said Pestano. "I’m excited about Monday."

Pestano is looking to rebound from a mediocre 2013 season in which he went 1-2 with a 4.08 ERA and 37:21 K:BB ratio in 35 1/3 innings.
