Jomar Reyes: Released by Orioles
Reyes was released by the Orioles on Friday, Dan Connolly of The Athletic reports.
Reyes was considered an interesting prospect for several years, but he spent four seasons at the High-A level and only advanced to Double-A for a single game. In 100 games for High-A Frederick last season, he hit a solid .283/.320/.406, though he walked just 11 times.

Orioles' Jomar Reyes: Bumped up to Double-A
Reyes was promoted to Double-A Bowie on Tuesday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
The 22-year-old corner infielder has languished at High-A Frederick for four years in a row. He hit .283/.320/.406 with eight home runs in 100 games this year, but his 73:11 K:BB leaves a lot to be desired, and he's still not accessing his plus raw power consistently in games.

Orioles' Jomar Reyes: Back at High-A
Reyes will open the season back at High-A Frederick, MLB.com's Mike Rosenbaum reports.
This is a pretty big surprise, as Reyes has 176 games at High-A under his belt, and he hit .302/.333/.434 in 50 games there before his season was cut short by surgery to repair a broken pinky finger. The Orioles have likely stressed a more patient approach that could allow him to access more of his huge raw power in games. If he shows progress in that area, he could receive a very early promotion to Double-A.

Orioles' Jomar Reyes: Back in action
Reyes (finger) was assigned to the Orioles' rookie team in the Gulf Coast League for a rehab assignment.
Reyes broke his finger after punching a wall in mid-May. Considering he's returned to live action within the initial timeline, it's safe to say he had a smooth recovery. He'll log a few games in the GCL before returning to man third base for High-A Frederick.

Orioles' Jomar Reyes: On DL with hand injury
Reyes was placed on the 7-day DL at High-A Frederick on Saturday with a right hand injury, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports.
The 20-year-old third baseman is hitting .321/.361/.436 with one home run and an 18:4 K:BB in 83 plate appearances in his second tour of the Carolina League. Orioles' Jomar Reyes: Slow start to season
Reyes, 19, is batting .238/.305/.400 with three home runs and 14 RBI through 29 games for High-A Frederick.
It is important to remember that Reyes is still a teenager and among the younger players at this level. He's already a full-grown man at 6-foot-3, 220-lbs, though. His power remains promising, though he is a ways away from making a big-league impact.
