Red Sox's Roniel Raudes: Working back from surgery
Raudes threw in an intrasquad game Monday, his first game action of any kind since undergoing Tommy John surgery, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.
The procedure kept Raudes out of action for the entirety of the 2019 season. In 357 career innings as a professional prior to undergoing the surgery, the 22-year-old recorded a 3.76 ERA and a 20.9 percent strikeout rate.

Raudes allowed one run on three hits and four strikeouts during Friday's 6-2 win over High-A Winston Salem.
Friday marked Raudes's first start since being placed on the disabled list on May 31. His impressive outing lowered his season ERA to 4.60. Raudes will look to limit the long balls surrendered moving forward, as the 19-year-old currently holds an 11.1 percent HR/FB rate.

Raudes is on the 7-day DL at High-A Salem with an undisclosed injury.
Known for his deceptive delivery, the 19-year-old righty had struggled thus far at High-A, posting a 4.93 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 38:15 K:BB in 42 innings prior to the injury.
