Phillies' Jeff Singer: Outrighted to Triple-A
Singer cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Friday.
Singer will remain in the organization despite being designated for assignment by the Phillies on Wednesday. He's tossed four scoreless innings in two relief appearances with Lehigh Valley to begin the season.

Phillies' Jeff Singer: Gets DFA'd
The Phillies designated Singer for assignment Wednesday.
Singer received his first MLB call-up prior to Tuesday's game against the Mets after closer Corey Knebel (illness) was placed on the COVID-19 injured list in a corresponding move. The 28-year-old lefty ultimately went unused out of the bullpen in Tuesday's 2-0 loss, and he'll now lose his spot on the 40-man roster and 28-man active roster after the Phillies reinstated Knebel on Wednesday. Assuming he clears waivers in the next couple of days, Singer will report to back to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Phillies' Jeff Singer: Contract selected
Singer's contract was selected by the Phillies on Tuesday, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Singer will give the Phillies an extra left-handed option in the bullpen, though the 28-year-old is unlikely to see any high-leverage innings. He's yet to make his major-league debut and recorded a mediocre 4.75 ERA in 53 innings of relief for Triple-A Lehigh Valley last season, striking out 28.2 percent of opposing batters but also walking 10.9 percent.

Phillies' Jeff Singer: Added to 60-man pool
Singer was added to the Phillies' 60-man player pool Thursday and will report to the team's alternate training site, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Singer will join the players training at the alternate site in Allentown, Pa. The left-hander went 7-0 with a 2.34 ERA while striking out 74 batters across 61.2 innings at Double-A Reading in 2019.

Phillies' Jeff Singer: Promoted to Double-A
Singer was promoted to Double-A Reading on Thursday, Matt Gelb of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Singer, 23, was 5-2 with a 2.34 ERA, 19 saves and a 66:28 K:BB in 50 innings for High-A Clearwater. The lefty was equally effective against left-handed and right-handed batters. His strikeout ability makes him a solid relief prospect, but he'll need to work on cutting back on the free passes.
