Mark Zuckerman@MarkZuckerman1H agoNationals have selected RHP Griff McGarry from Phillies in Rule 5 Draft. 26-year-old went to UVA, had 3.44 ERA, 1.219 WHIP, 13.3 K/9, 5.3 BB/9 in 21 minor-league starts this season (mostly at Double-A). -

Mark Zuckerman@MarkZuckerman22H agoMLB Draft Lottery about to begin. Nationals are ineligible after winning last year because they are considered a revenue sharing payor, not receiver. They’re already locked into 11th overall pick, but will get to pick third in each subsequent round. -
Mark Zuckerman@MarkZuckerman1D agoPaul Toboni has been careful not to offer specifics when asked if he's trying to complete the Nationals' rebuild or start over, but his words and actions so far suggest the focus remains on the long-term over the present. https://t.co/iNQLHmKuMj -
