Twins' Yasser Mercedes: Healthy again at Single-A
Mercedes (undisclosed) has played in each of Single-A Fort Myers' first three games of the season, going 0-for-11 with two walks, two runs, one RBI and one stolen base.
Mercedes finished the 2024 season on Fort Myers' injured list due to an unspecified health concern, but he's operating with no restrictions to begin the 2025 campaign.

Twins' Yasser Mercedes: On IL at Single-A
Mercedes was placed on the 7-day injured list at Single-A Fort Myers with an undisclosed injury, TwinsDaily.com reports.
Mercedes was recently promoted to Single-A after hitting .331/.421/568 with six home runs and 18 stolen bases in 51 games for Minnesota's Florida Complex League affiliate. He had improved after a lackluster 2023 season during which he had just a .629 OPS for the FCL team.

Twins' Yasser Mercedes: Slow start in FCL
Mercedes is hitting .167 with one home run, three steals and a 13:3 K:BB in 12 Florida Complex League games.
The 18-year-old outfielder was one of the top prospects slated to open in the FCL, and Mercedes has disappointed in a small sample. His .200 BABIP can partially explain his slow start, but his 0.23 BB/K is a red flag for an age-appropriate toolsy hitter in complex ball.
