Red Sox's Antoni Flores: Awaits short-season assignment
Flores will open the year in extended spring training before being assigned to a short-season affiliate in June, Jim Callis of MLB.com reports.
From an upside standpoint, Flores is the most appealing prospect in the lower levels of Boston's farm system, but we will have to wait until mid-June to see him in game action this year. He will likely be assigned to either the Gulf Coast League or the New York-Penn League.
