Miller was recalled from Triple-A Jacksonville on Friday. Miller had a two-game stint with the Marlins earlier this season, and he'll rejoin the major-league club for the final weekend of the season. The 26-year-old should be in the mix to start since Jesus Sanchez (hamstring) was placed on the injured list in a corresponding move. Miller had a strong finish to the Triple-A campaign with .326/.384/.382 slash line and seven stolen bases in September.

  • Marlins' Brian Miller: Called up for MLB debut

Miller will make his MLB debut Friday against the Yankees, batting eighth and playing left field, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports. Miller earns a spot on the big-league roster despite his mediocre .253/.313/.329 line in 68 games for Triple-A Jacksonville this season. He does have 22 steals over that stretch, which could give him some fantasy value if he winds up starting regularly.
