Pacers center Roy Hibbert was not seriously hurt and appears to be fine after leaving Tuesday's season opener against the Magic in Indianapolis with a left knee injury during. He is expected to play Wednesday against the Pelicans, according to the team's official website.
Hibbert appeared to have bumped his knee with an Orlando player and went down in pain late in the fourth quarter, according to USA Today. He was able to limp off the court and was taken to the locker room for further evaluation. The Pacers were up by double-digit points at the time of his injury and the team kept him out for the remainder of the game as a precaution, according to the report.
Hibbert had a monster game from the glass as he had 15 rebounds in first half, the most in any half of his career. He finished the game with eight points on 3 of 6 shooting and 2 of 4 from the free throw line. He added 16 rebounds, seven blocks and one steal while logging 27 minutes of game action before getting hurt in a 97-87 victory.
