Top Devin Booker News

  • Suns' Devin Booker: Misses potential game winner

Booker posted 22 points (5-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 11-13 FT), three rebounds and eight assists over 35 minutes during Tuesday's 125-123 loss to the Nuggets.

Booker's last-second three caromed off the rim, denying the Suns a much-needed victory. Despite the disappointing end, Booker led the Suns in scoring and received solid support from the rest of the first unit. The All-Star has averaged 28.0 points, 5.3 assists and 3.9 rebounds in March.

  • Suns' Devin Booker: Bounces back in win

Booker contributed 25 points (9-15 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), six assists and three rebounds across 31 minutes in Sunday's 120-98 win over the Raptors.

After posting 14 points on 4-of-17 shooting during Saturday's loss to the Bucks, Booker delivered a bounce-back performance in the second leg of this back-to-back set. The star guard recorded a game-high 25 points, reaching the 20-point marker for the 10th time across 12 March appearances. He also finished second on the Suns in assists and has dished out at least five dimes in four of the last five games. Over that five-game stretch, Booker has averaged 27.0 points, 5.4 assists and 3.2 rebounds in 34.4 minutes per showing.

  • Suns' Devin Booker: Not listed on injury report

Booker (ankle) isn't listed on the injury report for Saturday's game against the Bucks.

Booker appeared to tweak his ankle on the final shot of Thursday's loss to the Spurs, though he's not listed on the injury report for Saturday. The star guard has appeared in 10 straight games, averaging 30.3 points, 4.8 assists and 4.1 rebounds in 34.2 minutes per tilt during that stretch.

  • Suns' Devin Booker: Suffers minor injury on final shot

Booker (ankle) contributed 22 points (8-21 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 6-7 FT) and five assists over 34 minutes during Thursday's 101-100 loss to the Spurs.

Booker needed 21 shots to score 22 points, and while the star guard didn't have his best game from an efficiency perspective, he continues to play at a high level. Fantasy managers shouldn't be overly concerned by Booker's shooting woes in this game, as the Spurs are a tough defensive matchup, and he's been playing well, averaging 30.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game while shooting 44.8 percent from the floor in 10 games since the beginning of March. The All-Star appeared to tweak his ankle on the final shot of Thursday's game, and while he sported a limp afterwards, he didn't have a wrap and said he was fine moving forward. It appears to be a minor injury, but it's certainly something to monitor with the Suns ending a five-game week with a back-to-back set this weekend.

  • Suns' Devin Booker: Scoring binge continues

Booker amassed 34 points (11-27 FG, 1-7 3Pt, 11-14 FT), six rebounds and three assists across 35 minutes during Tuesday's 116-104 loss to the Timberwolves.

Booker topped 30 points for the sixth time in his past seven games, although his peripheral contributions continue to be largely underwhelming. This is demonstrated by the fact that in four games over the past week, despite averaging 37.0 points per game, Booker has been barely a top 70 player in standard leagues. While the offense is great, managers are undoubtedly looking for more, particularly in the assists and threes columns.

  • Suns' Devin Booker: Scoring outburst not enough

Booker recorded 40 points (15-24 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 8-9 FT), six assists, three rebounds and one block over 37 minutes during the Suns' 120-112 loss to the Celtics on Monday.

Booker carried the Suns' offensively during Monday's loss, with 29 of his team-high 40 points occurring over the second and third quarters, though he scored just five points in the fourth as the Celtics' defense shifted their focus to the superstar guard. Booker has scored 37 or more points in five of 10 appearances in Boston, including his 70-point explosion during the 2017-18 season. He has tallied at least 30 points in five of his last six outings, and over that span he has averaged 33.8 points, 5.3 assists, 4.2 rebounds, 3.0 threes and 0.7 steals over 35.0 minutes per game.

  • Suns' Devin Booker: Drops 31 points in Friday's loss

Booker logged 31 points (10-20 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 9-11 FT), three rebounds and one block over 34 minutes during the Suns' 122-115 loss to the Raptors on Friday.

Booker enjoyed an efficient night from the field while also showing aggression on the offensive side of the floor, as he attempted double-digit free throws for the third time in four games. He's now scored at least 27 points in six consecutive games, averaging 31.7 points, 4.7 assists, 4.7 rebounds, 3.0 threes and 1.0 steals over 34.1 minutes per game while connecting on 40.9 percent of his three-point attempts over that span.

  • Suns' Devin Booker: Explodes for 43 points Thursday

Booker ended with 43 points (14-31 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 11-11 FT), seven rebounds, five assists, one block and one steal in 35 minutes during Thursday's 123-108 win over Indiana.

Booker needed 31 shots to score 43 points, but he was extremely efficient across the board, going 4-for-7 from deep and draining all of his 11 shots from the charity stripe. Booker has been on a tear of late and has scored at least 27 points in five games in a row, averaging 31.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game over that span.

  • Suns' Devin Booker: Drains 15 from charity stripe

Booker closed with 30 points (7-18 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 15-15 FT), three rebounds and 10 assists in 35 minutes during Sunday's 111-99 win over the Hornets.

Booker didn't have a great night of shooting, but he drew plenty of contact during the victory. He took advantage by going 15-for-15 from the free-throw line, representing half of his scoring total. The trio of Booker, Jalen Green and Collin Gillespie counted for 78 of Phoenix's 111 points, and although they are currently projected for the Play-In bracket, they could leapfrog the Nuggets if this core stays healthy.

  • Suns' Devin Booker: Drops 32 points in victory

Booker notched 32 points (10-21 FG, 5-12 3Pt, 7-8 FT), four rebounds, four assists and two steals across 35 minutes in Friday's 118-116 win over the Pelicans.

After scoring 27 points in Thursday's loss to Chicago, Booker delivered another strong scoring performance. The star guard turned in an efficient showing from beyond the arc en route to game highs in points and triples. He also recorded multiple steals for a second consecutive contest. Over three appearances since returning from a four-game absence due to a hip strain, Booker has averaged 25.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.3 steals in 32.7 minutes per tilt.

  • Suns' Devin Booker: Totals 27 points in loss

Booker recorded 27 points (9-21 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 7-7 FT), six rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block in 32 minutes during Thursday's 105-103 loss to the Bulls.

Booker was asked to lead the charge in the scoring column on a night when Jalen Green couldn't get his shot to fall. Booker answered the call and paced the Suns with 27 points, but more importantly, he logged 30-plus minutes and looked healthy in just his second game back from a right hip strain.

  • Suns' Devin Booker: Returns with 17 points

Booker racked up 17 points (6-19 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds and six assists over 31 minutes during Tuesday's 114-103 win over the Kings.

The Suns managed to go 2-2 with Booker out of the lineup, but his return was a great boost for a team teetering on the fringe of playoff contention. The All-Star played 31 minutes with no restrictions in his return, and we were able to witness the complete backcourt with Jalen Green available. Booker and Green have had only seven chances to play alongside each other due to injuries from both players, and the healthy duo should dramatically increase the Suns' fortunes down the stretch.

  • Suns' Devin Booker: Not listed on injury report

Booker (hip) has been cleared to play Tuesday against the Kings.

Booker is ready to make his return to the hardwood after missing Phoenix's last four matchups while tending to a right hip strain. The star guard has had some tough injury luck lately, as he also dealt with an ankle issue before the All-Star break; therefore, it wouldn't be a surprise to see the Suns monitor Booker's minutes closely in his first game back.

  • Suns' Devin Booker: Could return next week

Booker (hip) is trending toward returning to action Tuesday in Sacramento or Thursday against the Bulls, John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7 FM reports.

Booker was back in action before the All-Star break after missing seven games due to an ankle injury. However, in his first appearance following the layoff, the All-Star guard played only nine minutes before suffering a right hip strain, which has kept him out of four straight contests. The Suns had only two games this week and don't play again until next Tuesday, giving Booker plenty of time to rest and rehab before returning to game action. It's safe to assume he'll face restrictions when given the green light, as he's made only three appearances since Jan. 23.

  • Suns' Devin Booker: Sidelined for at least one week

Booker will have his right hip strain re-evaluated by medical staff in one week, Shane Young of the Suns' official site reports.

Booker sustained the injury during the Suns' loss to the Spurs on Thursday, and he'll be out of action until at least early March, at which point the team's medical staff will provide an updated timeline for the veteran guard's return. Jordan Goodwin, Collin Gillespie and Jalen Green will all take on larger roles for the Suns for as long as Booker is sidelined.

  • Suns' Devin Booker: Won't play Saturday

Booker (hip) has been ruled out for Saturday's game versus the Magic.

Booker will return to the sidelines after tweaking his hip in Thursday's loss to the Spurs, and for now, he should be considered questionable for Sunday's game against the Trail Blazers. Booker's absence will open up minutes for Jordan Goodwin, and it'll likely be Jalen Green and Collin Gillespie doing the heavy lifting on offense.

  • Suns' Devin Booker: Exits early Thursday

Booker won't return to Thursday's game against the Spurs due to right hip soreness, Amanda Pflugrad of 3TV Phoenix reports.

Booker exited to the locker room late in the second quarter and won't play in the second half. He'll finish with five points (2-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT) and one rebound across nine minutes. Jordan Goodwin started the third quarter in Booker's place, though Amir Coffey could also see a bump in minutes the rest of the way. Booker's next opportunity to play will come Saturday against Orlando.
