  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Teases triple-double Sunday

Podziemski totaled 21 points (7-13 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), eight rebounds, seven assists and two steals in 29 minutes during Sunday's 123-91 victory over the Bulls. Podziemski remained out of the starting lineup despite the absence of Stephen Curry (quadriceps), but that didn't stop him from drilling five triples and flirting with a triple-double off the bench. Over his last nine games, Podziemski has averaged 14.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.3 steals in 26.8 minutes per contest.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Coming off bench

Podziemski will come off the bench Saturday against the Cavaliers, Anthony Slater of ESPN.com reports. Podziemski is coming off a dud, posting six points (2-8 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), six rebounds and one steal across 20 minutes in a loss to the 76ers on Thursday. The Warriors need a spark and will turn to Pat Spencer and Buddy Hield in the backcourt.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Scores 15 points Saturday

Podziemski accumulated 15 points (5-13 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, six assists and one steal in 33 minutes during Saturday's 104-96 win over the Pelicans. Podziemski moved to the starting lineup due to the absence of Stephen Curry (quadriceps) and posted a decent line, although his shooting numbers left a lot to be desired. Podziemski seems to be finding a new gear on offense and has scored in double digits in six of his last eight contests. He should remain in the starting lineup as long as Curry is out, but with the way he's been scoring, it wouldn't be odd if he ended up moving to the first unit on a permanent basis in the future.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Starting sans Curry

Podziemski will start Saturday's game against the Pelicans, Danny Emerman of SFStandard.com reports. With Stephen Curry (quadriceps) sidelined, Podziemski will get the starting nod. Over his last five starts, the 22-year-old guard has averaged 14.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.6 assists across 31.4 minutes per contest.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Another 20-point performance

Podziemski had 20 points (5-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 8-10 FT), three assists and three steals across 30 minutes during Friday's 127-123 loss to the Trail Blazers. Podziemski moved back to the bench but managed to score at least 20 points for the second straight game. After a rocky start to the season, Podziemski appears to be slowly figuring things out. In four games over the past week, he has averaged 16.0 points, 4.3 rebounds, 0.8 steals and 2.0 three-pointers in 29.2 minutes per contest.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Returns to reserves

Podziemski will come off the bench for Friday's game against the Trail Blazers. Podziemski made a start Wednesday with the Warriors down three starters, but he'll return to the second unit Friday. In nine games with the reserves, Podziemski is averaging 10.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.4 steals across 25.8 minutes.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Struggles with shot in loss

Podziemski accumulated 20 points (6-19 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 6-7 FT), eight rebounds and two assists across 34 minutes during Wednesday's 110-96 loss to the Heat. Podziemski had a tough time getting his shot to drop with Davion Mitchell playing some suffocating defense, but the former did a solid job of battling for the boards and getting easy buckets at the charity stripe. Stephen Curry (ankle) should be back for Friday's game against the Trail Blazers, so expect Podziemski to return to a reserve role for that one.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Coming off bench Tuesday

Podziemski won't start Tuesday's game against the Thunder, Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area reports. With Stephen Curry (illness) returning from a three-game absence Tuesday, Podziemski will slide to the second unit. Over four games off the bench this season, the 22-year-old guard has averaged 10.5 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.8 steals in 24.8 minutes per contest.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Starting Wednesday

Podziemski (wrist) is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game in Sacramento, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports. With Stephen Curry (illness), Jimmy Butler (back) and Draymond Green (ribs) all unavailable for Wednesday's game, Podziemski figures to be operating as one of Golden State's primary playmakers. Joining him in the first unit will be Will Richard, Moses Moody, Jonathan Kuminga and Quinten Post.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Questionable for Wednesday

Podziemski is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Kings with left wrist soreness. The Warriors are already very thin Wednesday -- Stephen Curry (illness) is out, and Jimmy Butler (back) and Draymond Green (ribs) are both questionable. If Podziemski doesn't get the green light to play, the Warriors could turn to guys like Moses Moody and Buddy Hield.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Starting Saturday

Podziemski will start in Saturday's game against the Pacers, John Dickinson of 95.7 The Game San Francisco reports. • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Fourth-year option picked up

The Warriors announced Thursday that they have exercised the fourth-year team option on Podziemski's contract. The move keeps the guard under team control for the 2026-27 campaign. Podziemski has been settling in as a key member of the Golden State backcourt over the past two years, and he has averaged 12.2 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.2 steals in 29.6 minutes per contest over five games (three starts) this season.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Hits for 23 in Monday's win

Podziemski logged 23 points (8-14 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 2-4 FT), four rebounds, six assists and one steal across 32 minutes during Monday's 131-118 win over Memphis. The third-year guard made his third start in four games to begin the season and responded with his best scoring effort so far. Podziemski and Quinten Post have split the open spot in the starting five while 39-year-old Al Horford (toe) gets treated very gingerly in the early going, and the fact that the Warriors are 3-0 with the smaller alignment probably bodes well for Podziemski's workload. In those three starts, he's averaging 13.7 points, 4.7 boards, 3.0 assists, 2.7 threes and 1.0 steals in 33.0 minutes a game.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Joins starting five Monday

Podziemski is in the starting lineup for Monday's game against the Grizzlies. Podziemski returns to the starting lineup after coming off the bench Friday, following starts in the first two games of the season. By re-inserting the Santa Clara product into the opening five, the Warriors opt for a smaller look, sending Quinten Post back to the bench.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Moving to bench role

Podziemski is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Trail Blazers. Podziemski started the Warriors' first two games of the season, but he'll slot back to a role while Quinten Post moves to the first unit. Podziemski scored 11 points and grabbed three rebounds in Thursday's overtime win over the Nuggets.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Quiet in start

Podziemski registered seven points (3-7 FG, 1-4 3Pt), seven rebounds, two assists and one steal across 33 minutes during Tuesday's 119-109 win over the Lakers. Podziemski started this game, but Golden State's lineups could be fluid a lot of nights depending on matchups. Some nights, Podziemski could come off the bench if the Warriors decide to add more size to the first unit in Al Horford. Podziemski's workload was encouraging Tuesday, but his role in the offense left a lot to be desired.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Returns Friday

Podziemski sustained a left hip contusion in Friday's preseason game against the Clippers but returned with 3:50 remaining in the first quarter, Danny Emerman of SFStandard.com reports. Podziemski exited the game with 9:39 remaining in the opening quarter and required assistance walking to the locker room. However, he has since returned and will likely be good to go the rest of the way.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Getting start Sunday

Podziemski will start Sunday's exhibition against the Lakers, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports. The Warriors will be without Stephen Curry (undisclosed), Moses Moody (calf), Jimmy Butler (personal) and Al Horford (rest) Sunday. Podziemski has been quiet in the preseason so far, posting averages of 6.5 points, 3.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds in 17.8 minutes across two appearances.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Recovered from offseason surgery

Podziemski (abdomen) is fully healthy for the start of training camp, John Dickinson of 95.7 The Game San Francisco reports. After undergoing surgery back in mid-June to repair a core muscle injury, Podziemski is facing no restrictions ahead of the upcoming season. The 2023 first-rounder is set to handle a significant role for the Warriors in 2025-26, though it remains to be seen if he'll start over Buddy Hield at shooting guard. Following the new year in 2024-25, Podziemski averaged 14.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.2 steals in 29.2 minutes per game over his final 34 regular-season outings.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Has another surgery

Podziemski (wrist) underwent surgery Tuesday to repair a core muscle injury, Dalton Johnson of NBC Sports Bay Area reports. Podziemski had surgery on his left wrist at the end of May and had another procedure to correct a core injury Tuesday. Despite the pair of surgeries, Podziemski is expected to make a full recovery before the start of training camp. The 22-year-old saw a slight uptick in production as a sophomore, logging 11.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 1.1 steals per game during the regular season.
