Podziemski exited Sunday's preseason game against the Pistons and headed for the locker room, Monte Poole of NBC Sports Bay Area reports. • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Coming off bench Friday

Podziemski will play a reserve role in Friday's preseason tilt against the Kings, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports. The Warriors continue to shuffle their starting lineup around in the third exhibition game of the season. De'Anthony Melton got the first look at shooting guard, Podziemski the second and Moses Moody will get the nod Friday. Podziemski is competing for a starting role in the lineup once the regular season tips off.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Not starting in preseason contest

Podziemski is not in the starting lineup for Saturday's preseason game against the Clippers, Kendra Andrews of ESPN.com reports. The Warriors have quite a battle at the shooting guard position, and while Podziemski could have a shot at playing steady minutes, head coach Steve Kerr has decided to start De'Anthony Melton alongside Stephen Curry in the backcourt. Podzmienski will see minutes off the bench and could get the chance to start in an upcoming preseason game for Golden State.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Starting vs. Portland

Podziemski is in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Trail Blazers. Previous reports indicated the rookie would not start Thursday, but he'll end up being part of the starting unit while featuring alongside Stephen Curry in the backcourt. Podziemski has averaged 9.5 points, 6.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game when playing in the first unit.

Podziemski isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Heat, John Dickinson of 95.7 The Game San Francisco reports. Klay Thompson will replace Podziemski in the starting five Tuesday. The rookie guard is averaging 12.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.9 assists and 1.2 steals in 30.8 minutes across his last 10 appearances coming off the bench.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Returns to starting role

Podziemski is back in the starting lineup to face the Lakers on Saturday. Podziemski has been moving between the starting lineup and the bench in recent weeks, and he'll move back to the first unit after scoring in double figures off the bench in his last two contests. Podziemski will play alongside Stephen Curry in the backcourt. He's averaging 10.1 points per game when deployed in a starting role.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Productive off bench

Podziemski closed Monday's 112-102 win over the Spurs with 14 points (5-10 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds, four assists, one block and one steal in 35 minutes. Podziemski was moved to the bench in favor of Klay Thompson, but coach Steve Kerr's rotations tend to change quite a lot. Fantasy managers will just be relieved to see that Podziemski's minutes remained high, and he'll continue to see extra usage while Stephen Curry recovers from his ankle issue.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Unlikely to play Friday

Podziemski is listed as doubtful for Friday's game versus the Raptors due to right knee soreness. Podziemski presumably suffered his injury during Thursday's win over the Knicks. If the rookie guard is ruled out, Klay Thompson may replace the rookie in the starting lineup, though the Warriors have liked what they've seen from the veteran off the bench. If Thompson remains a reserve in Podziemski's presumed absence, Gary Payton and Chris Paul would be candidates to join the starting lineup.

Podziemski's move to the bench was expected with Klay Thompson returning to the lineup after missing Thursday's 131-109 win over the Pacers due to illness. Podziemski will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against the 76ers, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports. • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Draws spot start

Podziemski is starting Monday's game against the Nets, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports. Podziemski gets the nod at shooting guard due to the absence of Andrew Wiggins (ankle). Klay Thompson will move to small forward as a result of this lineup change.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Solid in supporting role

Podziemski closed Saturday's 141-134 overtime loss to the Hawks with 15 points (6-12 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 3-5 FT), 11 rebounds, five assists and one block across 39 minutes. Podziemski and Lester Quinones (17 points) played huge roles after Andrew Wiggins (ankle) exited in the second half, resulting in Golden State leaning more heavily on small-ball lineups. Despite being listed at 6-foot-4, Podziemski made his presence felt on the glass, and his offensive chemistry on the perimeter with Stephen Curry is becoming an increasingly strong component of Golden State's offense. Even if Wiggins, Moses Moody (calf) and Dario Saric (illness) are back in action Monday in Brooklyn, Podziemski looks poised to maintain a 25-plus-minute role at least until the Warriors get Chris Paul (hand) back from an extended absence.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Racks up 14 dimes in win

Podziemski closed with 12 points (5-8 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, 14 assists, one block and two steals in 34 minutes during Friday's 121-101 victory over the Grizzlies. Podziemski returned to the bench after a spot start in Klay Thompson's absence Tuesday, but that didn't impact his production. The rookie guard tallied a career-best assist total, doubling his previous high of seven that he notched against Portland on Dec. 23. Podziemski played more minutes (34) than Thompson (27) on Friday, and while that isn't likely to become a trend, it's worth noting that the former hasn't played fewer than 25 minutes in a game since mid-December. Podziemski's production hasn't been consistent enough to make him a must-roster player in standard fantasy leagues, but given his performance Friday, Podziemski is at least worth keeping an eye on to see if he can start to put together useful stat lines consistently.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Joins starting five

Podziemski will start Saturday's game against the Bucks, Anthony Slater of The Athletic reports. Stephen Curry is getting the night off for rest, so Podziemski will join Klay Thompson, Andrew Wiggins, Dario Saric and Kevon Looney in the first unit. Podziemski has been in a slump, but he'll likely see a ton of usage Saturday. As a starter this season, the rookie holds averages of 9.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.4 three-pointers.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Coming off bench

Podziemski will return to a reserve role in Friday's game versus the Bulls, Shayna Rubin of The San Jose Mercury News reports. Podziemski replaced Andrew Wiggins as a starter in the previous game, but Wiggins is returning to the starting five in Chicago. The rookie guard has averaged 8.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists across 21.5 minutes in 22 games off the bench this season.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Workload set to increase

Podziemski amassed 11 points (4-7 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 1-3 FT), five rebounds, five assists and one steal in 25 minutes during Friday's 113-109 win over the Pistons. Chris Paul's hand injury will require Podziemski to take on an increased role in Golden State's backcourt. The 2023 first-round pick will have an excellent chance to prove his worth in the coming weeks, as his court time will likely reach 30 minutes or more most games with Paul sidelined.

  • Warriors' Brandin Podziemski: Jolly performance Monday

Podziemski notched 13 points (4-7 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds, six assists and five steals over 34 minutes during Monday's 120-114 loss to the Nuggets. Podziemski tallied a career-high five steals in the loss and posted double-digit points for the seventh time in his past nine games. He has been a top-60 player over the past two weeks, playing exclusively as a starter. The eventual return of Draymond Green (suspension) is going to have an impact, although it would make sense to keep Podziemski in the opening unit given the impact he has had of late. He is apporaching must-roster status across all formats.
