Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Ruled out for Tuesday
Mitchell (groin) is out for Tuesday's game against the Pistons.
Mitchell is sidelined for a fourth straight contest with a strained right groin, but he'll now have five days off in between Tuesday's matchup and Sunday's showdown against the Celtics to recover. Jaylon Tyson and Sam Merrill are both worthy streaming candidates in most fantasy leagues for as long as Mitchell remains on the shelf.

Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Ruled out for Sunday
Mitchell (groin) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Nets.
Mitchell will miss a third consecutive contest due to a right groin strain. According to Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer, head coach Kenny Atkinson said Friday that the injury isn't expected to result in a long-term absence, so the star guard can be considered questionable for Tuesday's game against the Pistons until Cleveland offers an update. With Mitchell out, Sam Merrill, Craig Porter and Keon Ellis (finger) are candidates for increased playing time.

Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Unlikely to miss significant time
Head coach Kenny Atkinson said Friday that Mitchell's right groin strain is not a "long-term thing," Chris Fedor of The Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Mitchell is set to miss a second consecutive contest Friday due to the groin injury, though he should be considered day-to-day ahead of Sunday's game against the Nets. Until the star guard is cleared to return, Sam Merrill, Jaylon Tyson and Craig Porter are candidates for increased minutes.

Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Ruled out for Friday
Mitchell (groin) won't play Friday in Detroit.
This will be Mitchell's second straight game on the inactive list, and it's somewhat discouraging that he's getting ruled out a full day in advance of tipoff. For now, Mitchell should be considered questionable for Sunday's game in Brooklyn. Expect more shots for Dennis Schroder, Jaylon Tyson and Sam Merrill while Mitchell is out and more minutes for Craig Porter.

Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Out Wednesday with groin injury
Mitchell has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Bucks due to a right groin strain.
The severity of Mitchell's injury is unclear, and since Wednesday's game is the second leg of a back-to-back set, the Cavaliers may be holding him out simply as a matter of caution. Cleveland lists backcourt mate James Harden (thumb) as questionable, so if he's sidelined along with Mitchell, plenty of minutes would be available for the likes of Sam Merrill, Jaylon Tyson, Dennis Schroder, Craig Porter and Keon Ellis.

Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Pops for 20 in loss
Mitchell closed Sunday's 121-113 loss to Oklahoma City with 20 points (9-19 FG, 0-6 3Pt, 2-3 FT), seven rebounds, five assists and two steals over 35 minutes.
Three different Cavaliers tied for the team lead in scoring with 20 points, as Mitchell reached that mark for the sixth time in eight February contests. On the month, the All-Star guard is averaging 26.1 points, 6.4 assists, 3.0 boards, 2.0 steals and 2.0 threes.

Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Leads Cavs with 32 points Friday
Mitchell tallied 32 points (9-22 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 12-13 FT), four assists, three rebounds and two steals over 34 minutes during the Cavaliers' 118-113 win over the Hornets on Friday.
It wasn't the most efficient night from the field for Mitchell, but the All-Star guard helped the Cavaliers close out the victory with 13 points in the fourth quarter. He was more active in getting to the charity stripe as he attempted double-digit free throws for the eighth time this season, with his 12 makes being his most in a game since Nov. 13 against the Raptors (15). Mitchell should continue to be the Cavaliers' No. 1 scoring option, as recent acquisition James Harden serves more as a facilitator.

Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Scores 17 points in 21 minutes
Mitchell ended Thursday's 112-84 win over the Nets with 17 points (7-12 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three rebounds and five assists across 21 minutes.
Mitchell's 17 points were well below his season average (28.8) but still a game-high mark in Cleveland's blowout win over the Nets. The All-Star guard played only 21 minutes as his team led comfortably throughout. That extra rest will come in handy as the Cavaliers face Charlotte on Friday during the second leg of a back-to-back set.

Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Stellar double-double in victory
Mitchell racked up 32 points (11-23 FG, 3-10 3Pt, 7-8 FT), one rebound, 10 assists, two blocks and two steals across 34 minutes during Monday's 119-117 victory over the Nuggets.
The new duo of Mitchell and James Harden powered the Cavaliers to another dramatic win, rallying back from an 11-point deficit in the fourth quarter. The only knock on Mitchell's game currently is a poor streak of performances beyond the arc, but his work inside the perimeter has more than made up for that inconsistency. The veteran has averaged 32.0 points per game over the last three contests.

Cavaliers' Donovan Mitchell: Explodes for 35 points in win
Mitchell notched 35 points (13-24 FG, 2-8 3Pt, 7-7 FT), two rebounds, four assists, two blocks and two steals over 35 minutes during Saturday's 132-126 victory over Sacramento.
Although James Harden's debut dominated the news before the game, Mitchell delivered with a team-high scoring total as he welcomed the veteran into the starting lineup. Although things may be shaky at first, early signs indicate Mitchell and Harden will complement each other as the team makes another playoff drive. Darius Garland (toe) commanded a lot of attention during his time playing alongside Mitchell, but Harden's ability to create his own opportunities will allow Mitchell to direct the offense and relieve a bit more pressure than the injury-riddled Garland could provide.
