Vikings quarterback Christian Ponder has not been officially ruled out as the team's starter for Week 6, but he admitted to reporters he is not particularly happy about the team's quarterback situation.
"I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed. We'll see how things play out," Ponder told the St. Paul Pioneer Press Wednesday. "Some of the dynamics of this organization have changed, obviously. But I'm preparing like I'm going to be on the field."
The Vikings have acquired Josh Freeman as a free agent in addition to Ponder and Matt Cassel, who has been reported as the starter. Cassel took the majority of the first-team reps at practice Thursday, according to the Press.
