Kendall Hunter in line for contract extension?

49ers running back Kendall Hunter is entering the final year of his rookie deal and warrants consideration for a contract extension, according to CSNBayArea.com. While Hunter played fewer than 20 percent of the offensive snaps last season, he averaged 4.6 yards per carry and "appears to have value to the 49ers in the future" as part of a three-headed monster at running back, the report said.
