Vernon Gholston gets tryout with Redskins for potential comeback

Former top draft pick Vernon Gholston is gettting a tryout with the Redskins, Gholston said on his Twitter account Tuesday. Gholston, who is turning 29 this June, last played in the league in 2010 with the Jets.

He had opportunities to make rosters in 2012 and 2013 with the Bears and Rams, but was cut before the regular season. In his career, Gholston has totaled 42 tackles.
