  • Raiders' Ameer Abdullah: Sleeper RBs

This could be a big game for Abdullah catching the ball in Week 14 at Tampa Bay, especially if Alexander Mattison (ankle) and Zamir White (quadriceps) remain out. The Buccaneers are tied for second in most receptions allowed to running backs with 71, and 10 running backs this season have scored at least 7.4 PPR points against Tampa Bay with just their receiving totals alone. Abdullah has scored at least 10.7 PPR points in two of his past three games, with 10 catches for 67 yards and a touchdown on 11 targets over that span. He could be a solid flex option in PPR in Week 14.

  • Raiders' Ameer Abdullah: Tallies 151 all-purpose yards

Abdullah rushed 10 times for 39 yards, secured both targets for 14 yards, returned one kickoff for 68 yards and ran back two punts for 30 yards in the Raiders' 19-17 loss to the Chiefs on Friday. The veteran back was busy all afternoon with both Zamir White (quadriceps) and Alexander Mattison (ankle) inactive, and he supplemented his work on offense with a productive effort on special teams. Abdullah's 68-yard kickoff return late in the third quarter set the Raiders up on the Chiefs' 26-yard line for a drive that culminated in a Brock Bowers touchdown grab two plays later. Abdullah finished with two fewer carries and 25 less rushing yards than backfield mate Sincere McCormick, but he offered serviceable fantasy production overall. However, Abdullah could be back to his customary third-down role in short order, considering both White and Mattison seemingly have a good chance of being available for a Week 14 road matchup against the Buccaneers on Sunday, Dec. 8.

  • Raiders' Ameer Abdullah: In line for added work Friday

With Alexander Mattison (ankle) and Zamir White (quadriceps) both inactive, Abdullah is in line to see added work Friday against the Chiefs. In this past Sunday's 29-19 loss to the Broncos -- a game that Mattison and White also missed -- Abdullah (who started the contest) carried the ball eight times for 28 yards and caught five of six targets for 37 yards and a touchdown. Look for the veteran back to continue to see added touches Friday, with Sincere McCormick (who logged five carries for 33 yards versus Denver) also mixing in.

  • Raiders' Ameer Abdullah: Finds end zone in loss

Abdullah carried the ball eight times for 28 yards and caught five of six targets for 37 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 29-19 loss to the Broncos. With Alexander Mattison (ankle) and Zamir White (quadriceps) unavailable, Abdullah led the Raiders' backfield in touches and scrimmage yards while scoring the team's only offensive TD of the day on a six-yard connection with Gardner Minshew (collarbone) in the second quarter. The five catches and six targets were also season highs for Abdullah. It's not yet clear if either Mattison or White will be ready to return in Week 13, but even if Abdullah handles the lead role again, he'll have a tough matchup against Kansas City.

  • Raiders' Ameer Abdullah: Slated to see expanded role Sunday

With Alexander Mattison (ankle) and Zamir White (quadricep) inactive, Abdullah is in line for an expanded workload Sunday against the Broncos. In the absence of both Mattison and White, Abdullah is in line to start Sunday, per Tashan Reed of The Athletic, with Dylan Laube and practice-squad elevation Sincere McCormick also available to mix in. While Abdullah is a speculative lineup option versus Denver, he could provide short-term fantasy utility for those who would normally rely on either Mattison or White or are otherwise in need of backfield help with six teams on bye in Week 12.

  • Raiders' Ameer Abdullah: Sleeper RBs

Alexander Mattison (ankle) and Zamir White (quadriceps) are doubtful for Week 12, so we could be looking at Abduallah in a featured role for the Raiders against Denver. His best game of the season actually came against the Broncos in Week 5 when he had five carries for 42 yards, a touchdown, and three catches for 9 yards. He also had three catches for 16 yards, a touchdown on three targets, and one carry for 1 yard in Week 11 at Miami when Mattison and White were injured. Most of Abdullah's production will likely come in the passing game, and Denver has allowed eight running backs to score at least 6.8 PPR points this season with just their receiving totals alone. He's worth using as a flex option in all leagues.

  • Raiders' Ameer Abdullah: Set for more touches Week 12

Abdullah is in line to lead the Vegas backfield Sunday against the Broncos, as Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports that both Alexander Mattison (ankle) and Zamir White (quad) will be listed as doubtful. Nearly all of Abdullah's playing time this season has come on third downs or in hurry-up/comeback situations, but Reed reports that the 31-year-old is expected to start this Sunday. Abdullah scored a receiving touchdown after both Mattison and White got hurt in the Week 11 loss to Miami, taking 88 percent of snaps in the fourth quarter. Dylan Laube, a healthy scratch in recent weeks, also may be in line for an increased role this Sunday, and at least one of Sincere McCormick or Chris Collier figure to be elevated from the practice squad.

  • Raiders' Ameer Abdullah: Week 12 Adds (RB Preview)

If both Alexander Mattison and Zamir White are out then I am way too low on Abdullah and he should be a top waiver wire priority. Unfortunately, we won't know that when claims go through. If you're desperate for a running back, must win this week, and still have a lot of FAB left I wouldn't blame you for blowing a chunk on Abdullah just in case.

  • Raiders' Ameer Abdullah: Week 12 Waiver Priority List

The Raiders lost Alexander Mattison (ankle) and Zamir White (quadriceps) to injuries in Week 11 at Miami, and we'll see what happens with both of them leading into Week 12 against Denver. Abdullah or Dylan Laube (2 percent rostered) could be thrust into prominent roles, and it's a situation to monitor in all leagues. I'll give a slight nod to Abdullah over Laube given Abdullah's role in the passing game, and he had three catches for 16 yards and a touchdown on three targets against the Dolphins with one carry for 1 yard. Laube has been inactive for four games in a row, and he fumbled his only carry this season in Week 6 against Pittsburgh. But he might get a bigger opportunity if Mattison and White are out. Abdullah is worth adding for 5 percent of your remaining FAB, and Laube is worth adding for 1 percent.

  • Raiders' Ameer Abdullah: Catches touchdown pass in loss

Abdullah caught all three of his targets for 16 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-19 loss to the Dolphins. He also gained one yard on his only carry. Abdullah caught a 10-yard swing pass out of the backfield with less than five minutes remaining in the contest for his second touchdown of the season. The 31-year-old logged a 34 percent offensive snap share as a result of Zamir White (quad) and Alexander Mattison (ankle) both exiting the game early. If at least one of White or Mattison are forced to miss the Raiders' Week 12 matchup against the Broncos, Abdullah could see an increased role again, though sixth-round rookie Dylan Laube may also factor into the backfield mix.

  • Raiders' Ameer Abdullah: Paces LV backfield in snaps Sunday

Abdullah rushed four times for 12 yards and he caught all three of his targets for 14 yards in Sunday's 41-24 loss to the Bengals. Abdullah was dealt at least seven touches for the third time in five games as the Raiders trailed throughout the entire second half Sunday. Abdullah's 30 offensive snaps actually paced his position group ahead of fellow running backs Alexander Mattison and Zamir White, each of whom continue to struggle with inefficiency. Through his first nine contests of the 2024 campaign, Abdullah has taken 16 carries for 81 yards and a touchdown to go along with a 14-60-0 receiving line on 17 targets.

  • Raiders' Ameer Abdullah: No touches in Week 8

Abdullah didn't carry the ball or draw a target while playing 13 of 79 snaps on offense in Sunday's 20-15 loss to the Rams. After filling a change-of-pace role out of the backfield behind Alexander Mattison the previous two weeks, Abdullah saw his playing time take a significant dip Week 7 while Zamir White (groin) made his return from a two-game absence. Expect Abdullah's opportunities on offense to remain limited while both Mattison and White are healthy.

  • Raiders' Ameer Abdullah: Loses key fumble

Abdullah rushed the ball four times for 24 yards in Sunday's 32-13 loss to the Steelers. He added three receptions on five targets for 14 yards. Abdullah had moments of productivity as the change-of-pace back behind Alexander Mattison, but that was overshadowed by a key mistake early in the fourth quarter. With the Raiders one yard away from cutting Pittsburgh's lead to one possession, Abdullah lost a fumble at the hands of T.J. Watt. He didn't record an offensive stat thereafter, and he compounded his problems by muffing a punt just one possession later, though the Raiders recovered that one.

  • Raiders' Ameer Abdullah: Week 6 Waiver Priority List

Abdullah worked in tandem with Alexander Mattison in Week 5 at Denver with Zamir White (groin) out, and Abdullah had five carries for 42 yards and a touchdown and three catches for 9 yards on three targets. We'll see what happens with White heading into Week 6 against Pittsburgh, but Abdullah can be considered a flex option if White is out again, especially in PPR. Abdullah is worth adding for 1 percent of your remaining FAB.

  • Raiders' Ameer Abdullah: Finds end zone Sunday

Abdullah rushed five times for 42 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 34-18 loss to the Broncos. He also caught all three of his targets for nine yards and he returned one kickoff for 23 yards. Abdullah logged a season-high 31 offensive snaps behind Alexander Mattison with fellow running back Zamir White (groin) sidelined for Sunday's tilt, and Abdullah took advantage as he translated the additional playing time into eight touches for 51 yards and a score, finding the end zone on a three-yard rush late in the fourth quarter. Earlier in the contest, Abdullah notched the Raiders' second-longest play of the game when he took a carry 40 yards to begin a drive. The 31-year-old could return to more of a reserve role offensively if White manages to suit up against the Steelers in Week 6.

  • Raiders' Ameer Abdullah: Will play

Abdullah (back) is active Sunday against the Browns. Abdullah was listed as questionable throughout the week but will ultimately take the field for the Week 4 matchup. The veteran should continue seeing snaps in the Raiders' backfield behind Zamir White and Alexander Mattison, while also chipping in on special teams.

  • Raiders' Ameer Abdullah: Questionable for Week 4

Abdullah (back) is questionable for Sunday's game versus Cleveland. The 30-year-old has played 30 offensive snaps and another 48 on special teams through three weeks. The Raiders have been using all three of Zamir White, Alexander Mattison and Abdullah out of the backfield in a true three-man committee approach. If Abdullah can't play, it could open more pass-game work for Mattison, as White has mainly been limited to early downs.

  • Raiders' Ameer Abdullah: Special teams role in season opener

Abdullah played 14 snaps on special teams in Sunday's 22-10 loss to the Chargers, returning one kickoff for 28 yards. Abdullah was not involved in the Raiders' offensive game plan during the season opener, while fellow running backs Zamir White and Alexander Mattison combined for 108 total yards and a receiving score on 24 touches. Mattison alone was targeted six times by quarterback Gardner Minshew, and Abdullah figures to cede passing down work to Mattison again Week 2 versus the Ravens.

  • Raiders' Ameer Abdullah: Competing for third-down role

Abdullah is competing with rookie sixth-round pick Dylan Laube for a third-down role behind starting running back Zamir White, Tashan Reed of The Athletic reports. Abdullah has handled a key special-teams role across two seasons with the Raiders, which he figures to reprise in 2024, but he could also contribute more on offense if he's able to secure regular pass-catching snaps. White and backup Alexander Mattison figure to dominate carries for Las Vegas, but one of Abdullah or Laube could emerge as a somewhat reliable target this season. Last year, Abdullah secured 19 of 24 targets for 131 yards in 17 regular-season games.

  • Raiders' Ameer Abdullah: Staying in Las Vegas

The Raiders re-signed Abdullah on Friday. Abdullah has spent the last two seasons with the Raiders, and he'll now remain with the team for the immediate future. The 2015 second-round pick has appeared in all 34 of the Raiders' games since signing with the team, recording 451 yards from scrimmage on 63 touches. The veteran running back is expected to serve as a depth piece in Las Vegas' backfield once again in 2024.
