Peters (calf) was listed as a full participant on the Ravens' injury report Thursday. Peters sat out the final three games of the regular season with a mild calf strain suffered Week 15. The 30-year-old was initially limited during practice Wednesday, but he now appears ready to play heading into Sunday's tilt against the Bengals in the wild-card round of the playoffs. Peters has served as one of Baltimore's top cornerbacks when healthy over the past two seasons, and he should reprise this spot opposite 2022 Pro Bowler Marlon Humphrey.... See More ... See Less

Ravens' Marcus Peters: Iffy for Week 18
Peters (calf) is questionable for Sunday's matchup against the Bengals. Peters has missed back-to-back games after suffering a calf strain in Week 15. The veteran cornerback was limited at practice Wednesday through Friday, so his availability will likely come down to a game-time decision Sunday.... See More ... See Less -
Ravens' Marcus Peters: Sitting out Week 16
Peters (calf) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Falcons, Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site reports. Peters is expected to miss some time after being diagnosed with a mild calf strain Monday, so his inability to play Week 16 doesn't come as much of a surprise. The 29-year-old's next chance to play will come against the Steelers on Sunday, Jan. 1. With Peters sidelined, said second-year cornerback Brandon Stephens will likely step up into a much bigger role against Atlanta, according to Clifton Brown of the Ravens' official site.... Ravens' Marcus Peters: Set to miss time with calf strain
Peters was diagnosed with a mild calf strain Monday and is expected to miss some time, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Peters suffered the calf injury in Saturday's 13-3 loss to the Browns, and while he is set to miss some action, his absence is expected to be a short one. The cornerback will likely return before the end of the regular season, but while he's out, Brandon Stephens and Kevon Seymour could step into more substantial roles in the secondary for the time being.... Ravens' Marcus Peters: Dealing with calf injury
Peters (calf) didn't return to Saturday's 13-3 loss to the Browns. Peters was initially deemed questionable to return with a calf injury but was ruled out at the beginning of the fourth quarter. The severity of the issue remains unclear, but he'll presumably undergo further testing and more information should be available in the coming days. Peters finished Saturday's game with three solo tackles.... See More ... See Less -
Ravens' Marcus Peters: Fumble recovery in defeat
Peters recorded eight tackles (six solo) while recovering a fumble in Sunday's 28-27 loss to the Jaguars. Peters finished with a season-high eight tackles, nearly doubling his previous best five stops from Week 5. In addition, the cornerback was able to pick up a fumble recovery after Tyus Bowser recorded a strip sack in the third quarter. Peters has now made 36 tackles this year, including a sack, while deflecting five passes, securing an interception and both forcing and recovering two fumbles over 10 games.... See More ... Ravens' Marcus Peters: Questionable for MNF
Peters (quadriceps) is questionable for Monday's matchup against the Saints, Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reports. Peters logged his first full practice of the week Saturday, which suggests he may be available for Monday's matchup. However, his status will become official shortly before game time. Peters has been a mainstay for Baltimore's defense this season, logging five passes defended and an interception across seven games on the campaign.... See More ... See Less -
Ravens' Marcus Peters: Three tackles in victory
Peters recorded three tackles in Thursday's win over the Buccaneers. Peters continued to play a significant role in the Ravens' secondary and had the tough task of trying to shut down Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. He had a chance for a bigger performance but dropped an interception in the second half on an inaccurate throw by Tom Brady. Peters now has multiple tackles in five of seven games on the campaign, while also racking up five passes defended and an interception.... See More ... See Less -
Ravens' Marcus Peters: Exits versus Tampa Bay
Peters is questionable to return to Thursday's game against the Buccaneers with a hamstring injury. Peters was listed as questionable with a quadriceps injury coming into this contest, though he appears to have picked up a separate hamstring issue at some point in the first half. In his stead, expect Damarion Williams and Brandon Stephens to play increased roles alongside Marlon Humphrey.... See More ... See Less -
Ravens' Marcus Peters: Generates two turnovers in win
Peters recorded a tackle, an interception and a fumble recovery Sunday in the Ravens' 37-26 win over the Patriots. Peters secured the last of Mac Jones' three interceptions on the day with 1:55 remaining in the fourth quarter, effectively salting the game away for Baltimore. On the Patriots' prior drive, Peters found himself in the right place at the right time when New England was attempting to overcome a five-point deficit, as he pounced on a Nelson Agholor fumble forced by teammate Kyle Hamilton to give the Ravens possession in plus territory. As usual, Peters didn't supplement his turnovers with much tackle production, but the 29-year-old remains one of the NFL's more opportunistic ballhawks when healthy. He's now tallied 32 interceptions through 93 career regular-season games.... See More ... See Less -
Ravens' Marcus Peters: Sits Wednesday due to rest
Peters (rest) was listed as a non-participant on the Ravens' official injury report Wednesday. Initial reports suggested that Peters sat out Wednesday's practice due to the knee injury that kept him sidelined for the season opener, but the starting cornerback was simply getting a scheduled rest day. He should be good to go for Sunday's matchup against New England, but the Ravens may be without Marlon Humphrey, who also didn't practice Wednesday due to a groin injury.... See More ... See Less -
Ravens' Marcus Peters: Deemed questionable for Sunday
Peters (knee) is questionable for Sunday's contest against the Dolphins. Peters logged a full practice Thursday but was limited Wednesday and Friday. With Marlon Humphrey (groin) also questionable and Kyle Fuller (knee) on IR, the Ravens could be extremely thin at cornerback for their matchup against Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.... See More ... Ravens' Marcus Peters: Won't play Week 1
Peters (knee) is inactive for Sunday's season opener against the Jets. Peters suffered a torn ACL before the start of the 2021 campaign and appeared to be on track to play in the season opener after being activated off the active/PUP list in mid-August. However, he was held out of Friday's practice after being limited Wednesday and Thursday, so it's not surprising to see him ruled out. In his absence, expect Kyle Fuller and Brandon Stephens to have expanded roles.... See More ... See Less -
Ravens' Marcus Peters: Returns to practice Monday
Peters (knee) was activated of the active/PUP list and returned to practice Monday, Ryan Mink of the Ravens' official site reports. Peters suffered a torn ACL right before the start of the 2021 regular season, but he appears to be on track to return a year later. The 2015 first-round pick will likely have a ramp-up period before returning to game action, but with Week 1 a month away, he should have plenty of time to knock the rust off.... See More ... Ravens' Marcus Peters: Lands on PUP list
The Ravens have placed Peters (knee) on the active/PUP list ahead of training camp. Peters tore his ACL just three days prior to the start of the 2021 campaign and missed the entire season as a result. It is unclear how near he is to a return. The 29-year-old will be playing for a new contract this season.... See More ... See Less -
Ravens' Marcus Peters: Should be healthy before camp
Peters (knee) recently said he should be healthy by June or July, giving him a shot to be ready for the start of training camp, Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun reports. Peters is one of the many Ravens rehabbing an ACL tear this offseason, having suffered the injury in a practice three days before the start of the regular season. The 29-year-old cornerback isn't likely to participate in spring practices, but he could get a new contract this offseason as he enters the third and final year of a $42 million extension.... Ravens' Marcus Peters: Torn ACL feared
The Ravens fear Peters sustained a potentially significant knee injury during Thursday's practice, Mike Garofolo and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network report. In a nightmarish sequence of events during the Ravens' first official Week 1 practice, Peters and top running back Gus Edwards both went down with what appeared to be non-contact knee injuries on consecutive plays. Baltimore opted to cancel the remainder of practice as a result, and Peters and Edwards are now set to undergo further testing as the team looks to confirm the severity of their injuries. According to the report, the Ravens fear that Peters may have torn his ACL, an injury that would require season-ending surgery. Anthony Averett would likely be the next man to step into a starting role at outside cornerback opposite Marlon Humphrey if Peters is forced to miss time. Baltimore opens its season Monday in Las Vegas.... See More ... See Less -
Ravens' Marcus Peters: Good to go Saturday
Peters (back) is active for Saturday's divisional-round game against the Bills, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports. The 28-year-old was considered questionable with the back injury, but coach John Harbaugh never expected the cornerback's availability to be in doubt. Peters and Marlon Humphrey will operate as Baltimore's outside cornerbacks Saturday, per usual.... See More ... See Less -
Ravens' Marcus Peters: Active Sunday
Peters (calf) is active for Sunday's game at Cincinnati. The 27-year-old missed the previous two games with the calf injury, but he'll be back on the field for Week 17. Now that he's healthy, Peters should reclaim his starting role at cornerback opposite Marlon Humphrey.... See More ... See Less -
Ravens' Marcus Peters: Listed as questionable
Peters (calf) is questionable for Sunday's game versus the Titans. Peters didn't practice all week, putting him on the wrong track for Sunday's game. Nearly the entire Ravens cornerback corps is dealing with an injury, headlined by Jimmy Smith (ribs/shoulder) -- who has already been ruled out -- and Peters. In addition, Tramon Williams (thigh), Anthony Averett (ankle) and Davontae Harris (ankle) are questionable. It's a fool's errand to project how the Ravens' secondary will shake out this week behind Marlon Humphrey, who is the only corner with a clean bill of health.... See More ... See Less
