Keith Baxter: Placed on waivers
Baxter (wrist) was placed on waivers by the Chiefs on Sunday.
Baxter underwent surgery after he injured his wrist in Thursday's practice, and the team didn't release a timetable for his recovery. It's appears likely that Baxter was given a long timetable by team doctors, and that's what ultimately led to him being waived.

Chiefs' Keith Baxter: Undergoes wrist surgery
Baxter underwent surgery on his wrist Friday, Sydney Ringdahl of Chiefs.com reports.
Baxter left Thursday's practice after sustaining the injury. The team has yet to release a timetable on his recovery, so it is unclear how long the 25-year-old will be out. His absence should free up Steven Terrell and Ashton Lampkin for some extra reps in practice.

Chiefs' Keith Baxter: Injures wrist Thursday
Baxter injured his wrist during Thursday's practice, Terez A. Paylor of The Kansas City Star reports.
It's unclear at this time how severe Baxter's injury his. It's likely that it will limit him for a short period, though he's without a timetable for recovery at this point. If he's forced to sit out at all, Steven Terrell could see some extra reps as a result.

Chiefs' Keith Baxter: Lands in Kansas City
Baxter signed a contract with the Chiefs on Friday, Terez A. Paylor of The Kansas City Star reports.
Baxter went undrafted out of Marshall in 2016 and has spent time with the Packers and Vikings thus far in his professional tenure. He'll compete with a slew of other players in order to land a reserve role at cornerback.
