Top Devin Fuller News

  • Devin Fuller: Waived by Atlanta

Fuller was waived by the Falcons, Field Yates of ESPN reports.

Fuller was Atlanta's seventh-round pick in 2016, but injuries forced the receiver to spend the entirety of his first two seasons on injured reserve. However, the fact he wasn't waived with an injury designation suggests he's currently recovered from the torn ACL he suffered last August. Fuller will become an unrestricted free agent if he passes through waivers unclaimed.

  • Falcons' Devin Fuller: Reverts to IR

Fuller (knee) reverted to injured reserve Saturday.

Fuller, who tore his ACL last week, cleared waivers and will now spend a second consecutive year on the Falcons' IR.

  • Devin Fuller: Waived with injury designation

Fuller (knee - ACL) was waived by the Falcons with an injury designation on Thursday.

Fuller tore his ACL last week and will miss the season for a second straight year. He'll likely be placed on injured reserve by Atlanta after he clears waivers.

  • Falcons' Devin Fuller: Suffers torn ACL

MRI results on Friday revealed that Fuller has suffered a torn ACL, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Netowrk reports.

For the second straight year, he's been ruled out for the entire campaign prior to the start of the regular season. The 2016 seventh-round pick was drafted with the expectation that he would earn a job returning kickoffs, but he's suffered two separate serious injuries before getting the chance to earn a role with the team.

  • Falcons' Devin Fuller: Placed on IR

The Falcons placed Fuller (shoulder) on injured reserve Monday.

The Falcons drafted Fuller out of LSU in the seventh-round of this years draft. The Rookie impressed early on in the preseason recording 66 yards and a touchdown in his first two games before injuring his shoulder in the team's third game against the Dolphins. The team had hoped he could earn a spot returning kicks heading into the season.

  • Falcons' Devin Fuller: May need surgery

Fuller (shoulder) may need surgery to repair an unspecified shoulder injury, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Fuller, the Falcons' seventh-round pick from LSU, suffered the injury during Thursday's preseason tilt against the Dolphins. However, he was drafted with the expectation he would earn a job returning kickoffs, but fellow rookie J.D. McKissic has been the most impressive candidate for the role thus far into the preseason. Now injured and potentially sidelined indefinitely, Fuller appears to be a long shot to make Atlanta's final 53-man roster ahead of Week 1.

  • Falcons' Devin Fuller: Scores touchdown in preseason victory

Fuller caught four balls for 49 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's preseason win over the Browns.

Fuller led the Falcons in receiving yards and was the only receiver to get in the end zone against the Browns. He is probably destined for a bigger role on special teams than in the offense, but performances like this certainly don't hurt his case to earn some offensive snaps.

  • Falcons' Devin Fuller: Says he is healthy

Fuller (hamstring) said he is healthy for the start of training camp, ESPN.com's Vaughn McClure reports.

A seventh-round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, Fuller missed June minicamp with a hamstring injury, but he's apparently made a full recovery. The Falcons released Devin Hester on Tuesday, leaving Fuller and Eric Weems as the leading candidates for work in the return game. Fuller ran a 4.39 40-yard dash at his pro day, but he didn't impress as a return man at UCLA, averaging 22.8 yards on 36 kick returns and 10.5 yards on 14 punt returns. Even with Hester no longer in the picture, Fuller may find himself fighting for a roster spot.
