Jamal Custis: Let go by Pittsburgh
Custis was waived by the Steelers on Monday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Custis signed a reserve/future contract with Pittsburgh after the end of the regular season but won't get a chance to showcase himself in training camp. The 24-year-old went undrafted out of Syracuse in 2019 and didn't see game action in his first season out of college.

Steelers' Jamal Custis: Sticking with Steelers
Custis signed a reserve/future contract with the Steelers on Monday, Teresa Varley of the team's official site reports.
Custis joined Pittsburgh's practice squad in mid-December and will now receive a longer look from the team. The 24-year-old received over $100K in guaranteed money as an undrafted free agent from the Chiefs in May, but he was unable to earn a spot on the season-opening roster.

Jamal Custis: Heads to Pittsburgh
Custis signed with the Steelers' practice squad Wednesday.
Custis originally signed with the Chiefs in May after going undrafted and received more than $100,000 in guaranteed money, but he was unable to carve out a role with the team. The 24-year-old could be promoted to the 53-man roster if any more injuries befall Pittsburgh's wideouts.

Chiefs' Jamal Custis: Picked up by Cheifs
Custis inked a deal with the Chiefs on Friday that includes over $100K in guaranteed money, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
The guaranteed money Custis got from Kansas City is believed to be the highest for any undrafted wide receiver over the past two drafts. He will join a crowded depth chart at the position, but there is not a lot of clarity in the pecking order right now. So, given the Chiefs' financial investment in the rookie pass catcher, he could have an opportunity to carve out a role for himself.
