Cardinals' Damond Powell: Released by the Cardinals
The Cardinals released Powell (face) on Thursday with a non-football injury designation, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Little news has emerged since Powell was shot in the jaw and neck in Toledo, OH just days before he was set to report to training camp with the Cardinals. His release may be a sign that his recovery won't allow the wide receiver to pursue a career in the NFL, but only time will tell.
