  • Titans' Dre'Mont Jones: Headed to Tennessee

The Titans signed Jones to a one-year, $10 million contract Wednesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. Jones appeared in all 17 regular-season games for the Seahawks in 2024, but his 28 combined tackles and 4.0 sacks were his fewest since his rookie year in 2019. He was released by Seattle on March 4, but it didn't take long for the 28-year-old defensive end to find a new team. Jones will likely start opposite Jeffery Simmons in 2025, though the former will get a push from Sebastian Joseph-Day during training camp.

  • Dre'Mont Jones: On way out of Seattle

The Seahawks released Jones on Tuesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports. Despite being healthy for all 17 games in 2024, Jones recorded his fewest sacks (four) since his 2019 rookie season. He shouldn't have much difficulty finding a rotational pass-rush role with a new team.

Jones finished the 2024 season with 28 tackles (14 solo), including 4.0 sacks, while also adding a pass defensed and a forced fumble across 15 games. Jones saw his production dip in 2024, recording just 28 takedowns, his lowest total since his rookie campaign in 2019. The linebacker operated as a depth option behind Boye Mafe this season and will likely do so again in 2025, his final year under contract with the Seahawks.

Expect the 27-year-old to serve as one of Seattle's top rotational edge rushers in Week 1.

  • Seahawks' Dre'Mont Jones: Ready to go Monday

Jones (hip) is officially active for Monday's contest with the Giants. Jones will be able to play Monday even though he missed practice all week while dealing with a hip injury. Jones has been an active participant at the Seahawks' OTAs this spring, Gregg Bell of The Bellingham Herald reports. The Seahawks signed the defensive end to a lucrative three-year, $51.5 million contract in March, and the 6-foot-3 athlete is expected to start opposite of right end Jarran Reed this season. Jones said that he was placed on injured reserve to due a hip labrum injury, but he does not expect to require surgery for this issue, Troy Renck of Denver 7 News reports. Jones is expected to need at least four to six weeks to recover from this issue, which will keep him on IR for the remainder of the regular season. The 25-year-old also added that this move to IR was to allow him to rest, with Denver already eliminated from postseason contention after falling to 3-10 in Week 14. Jones had already matched his career high in sacks through 13 games this season, and he could be in line for a solid payday when he hits free agency this coming offseason.
