Saints' Eric Burrell: Brought back by Saints
Burrell re-signed with the Saints on Tuesday, Amie Just of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
The undrafted free agent safety was waived by the Saints on Friday after failing his physical, but is getting a second chance with the team after they placed guard Alex Hoffman on the reserve/retired list. Burrell was initially signed by New Orleans immediately following the conclusion of the 2021 NFL Draft.

Burrell (undisclosed) was waived by the Saints on Friday after failing his physical, Katherine Terrell of The Athletic reports.
It's unclear what caused Burrell to fail his physical, but the safety will need to get healthy before he can compete for a spot at the NFL level.
