  • Giants' Malik Nabers: Leading receiving in loss

Nabers caught five of 10 targets for 79 yards in Sunday's 14-11 loss to the Saints. While it wasn't an efficient performance, Nabers led the Giants in receiving yards and tied for the team lead in catches with Tyrone Tracy and Daniel Bellinger. Nabers hasn't gotten into the end zone since Week 3, but the rookie wideout has caught at least five passes in six straight games despite the team's QB turmoil, posting a 41-392-0 line on 66 targets. Nabers will try to take advantage of an exploitable secondary in Week 15 against the Ravens.

  • Giants' Malik Nabers: Could be limited if able to play

Nabers, who is questionable for Sunday's game against New Orleans due to a hip injury and a lingering groin issue, is expected to attempt to play but could be used in a limited role if he does suit up, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports. The Giants will likely want to assess Nabers during pregame warmups before deciding whether to make him active ahead of the 1 p.m. ET tilt against the Saints. It's not clear to what extent the rookie receiver would be limited if he does suit up, which puts his fantasy managers in a tough position in a critical week in many head-to-head leagues. If Nabers is ultimately ruled out or held to a reduced offensive snap count, Darius Slayton would likely be the primary beneficiary in the Giants' passing game in terms of drawing more looks from starting quarterback Drew Lock.

  • Giants' Malik Nabers: Officially listed as questionable

Nabers (hip) did not practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints. Nabers' status for Week 14 looks truly up in the air due to a hip flexor sustained during Friday's practice. The rookie first-rounder's hip issue is unrelated to the groin injury he's dealt with for much of the season and limited him in practice Thursday. Final word on Nabers' availability, or lack thereof, may not arrive until roughly 90 minutes ahead of Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff. If Nabers does manage to suit up versus New Orleans, he'll work to break his streak of seven consecutive games without a TD.

  • Giants' Malik Nabers: Uncertain for Sunday

Nabers (groin) will miss Friday's practice with a hip flexor and is uncertain to play Sunday against the Saints, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports. Nabers was added to the injury report Thursday, listed with a recurring groin injury that's yet to cost him a game. The revelation of a new hip injury, even a relatively minor one, casts doubt upon his Week 14 availability, especially after downgrading from limited practice participation Thursday to non-participation Friday.

  • Giants' Malik Nabers: Tending to groin injury

Nabers was limited at Thursday's practice due to a groin injury, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Nabers has been listed with a groin issue on Giants injury reports at varying points this season, so his practice restrictions Thursday may be maintenance related. Nevertheless, his status now will be one to monitor to get a sense of his odds to play Sunday against the Saints. Since missing two games due to a concussion Weeks 5 and 6, Nabers has tallied a 40-354-0 line on 64 targets over the last six contests.

  • Giants' Malik Nabers: Paces pass catchers in loss

Nabers secured six of nine targets for 64 yards in the Giants' 30-7 loss to the Buccaneers on Sunday. He also committed a fumble recovered by New York. Nabers and the entire Giants offense struggled in the first half with Tommy DeVito sluggish in his first start since late last season. However, matters picked up in the second half with New York forced to go into pass-heavy mode, and Nabers ultimately finished as the team leader in receptions, receiving yards and targets on the afternoon. The talented rookie didn't seem to experience any ill effects from the groin injury that had popped up late in the practice week, and he could have a chance for better production in a Thanksgiving Day road clash against the Cowboys after getting his first game with DeVito as his quarterback under his belt.

  • Giants' Malik Nabers: Seems likely for Sunday

Nabers (groin), who is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest against the Buccaneers, is expected to play, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports. Nabers didn't practice Friday, but the Giants may just have held him out as a precaution, given that the rookie had previously been bothered by a groin issue at one point in October. While Nabers should be cleared to play in advance of the 1 p.m. ET kickoff and isn't expected to face any restrictions with his snaps, his fantasy outlook is more muddled this week with the Giants moving on from Daniel Jones and installing Tommy DeVito as their starting quarterback. The Buccaneers have one of the worst pass defenses in the league, but the Giants could nonetheless opt to lean heavier on the run game after head coach Brian Daboll often used more conservative game plans during DeVito's six starts in 2023. DeVito attempted more than 30 passes in just one of those six outings.

  • Giants' Malik Nabers: Nine second-half catches in loss

Nabers caught nine of 11 targets for 59 yards in Sunday's 27-22 loss to the Commanders. Nabers didn't catch his only first-half target as Daniel Jones had zero passing yards at halftime. The rookie receiver came alive in the second half, as his team-high reception and yardage totals included a two-yard catch on which Nabers managed to stretch the ball out and just barely convert on fourth-and-2 in the third quarter. Nabers has totaled at least 11 targets in five of his first seven NFL games, and he'll likely stay busy when the Giants travel to Munich, Germany to face the Panthers in Week 10.

  • Giants' Malik Nabers: Four grabs in Week 7 loss

Nabers caught four of eight targets for 41 yards in Sunday's 28-3 loss to the Eagles. Seeing his first action since Week 4 after recovering from a concussion, Nabers had lackluster numbers but still led the Giants in receiving yards. although Wan'Dale Robinson saw one more target. It was the least productive performance of the rookie's young career. but assuming the Giants are a little more competitive in Week 8 against the Steelers, Nabers should return to the kind of volume he was getting before his injury -- 45 targets in his prior three games, which he turned into a mammoth 30-320-3 line.

  • Giants' Malik Nabers: No injury designation

Nabers (groin/concussion) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports. Nabers cleared concussion protocol Thursday, and while a groin issue limited his activity level during Friday's practice, it apparently isn't serious enough to warrant a designation on the final Week 7 injury report. He'll make his fifth appearance of the season Sunday, returning from a two-game absence.

  • Giants' Malik Nabers: Clears concussion protocol

Nabers (head, groin) cleared concussion protocol Thursday and is expected to play Sunday against the Eagles, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports. Nabers missed the past two games due to concussion symptoms and then had a groin injury added to Thursday's practice report. The latter apparently isn't much of a concern, as Thursday also marked his first full practice participation since entering concussion protocol in the closing minutes of a Week 4 loss to Dallas (Sept. 26). Nabers will be back in action this Sunday as a target-hogging No. 1 receiver for the surprisingly competent Giants offense.

  • Giants' Malik Nabers: Dealing with second, minor injury

Nabers is listed with a groin injury and concussion on Thursday's injury report, although he was a full practice participant, Patricia Traina of SI.com reports. In other words, the groin injury isn't considered serious. The big question is still whether Nabers will clear concussion protocol before Sunday's matchup with the Eagles, after missing the past two games. Thursday marked his first full practice getting injured in the closing minutes of a loss to the Cowboys on Sept. 26.

  • Giants' Malik Nabers: Set for non-contact practice

Giants head coach Brian Daboll said that Nabers (concussion) has made "good progress" and will practice Wednesday while wearing a non-contact jeresey, Charlotte Carroll of The Athletic reports. Daboll said Nabers is "much better," and the rookie first-round pick will be set to handle his first reps at practice since having suffered a concussion Sept. 26 in a loss to the Cowboys. Even if Nabers is listed as at least a limited participant on Wednesday's practice report, he'll still likely need to upgrade to full activity Thursday and/or Friday in addition to gaining clearance from an independent neurologist before he's removed from the concussion protocol. If cleared, Nabers shouldn't face any limitations during Sunday's game against the Eagles.

  • Giants' Malik Nabers: Ruled out for Week 6

Nabers (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Bengals, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports. Nabers hasn't practiced since suffering a concussion in a Thursday loss to the Cowboys on Sept. 26. He's been doing some physical activity this week, but reports didn't exactly hint at much progress, suggesting he did less Thursday than Wednesday. He'll apparently be on the side field again Friday, per Dan Duggan of The Athletic, with the Giants seemingly hoping for a return to actual practices next week ahead of an Oct. 20 game against the Eagles. Jalin Hyatt took most of Nabers' usual snaps in last week's 29-20 win at Seattle, but it was regular starter Darius Slayton who came up big from a production standpoint, catching eight of 11 targets for 122 yards and a TD. Slayton and Wan'Dale Robinson figure to remain the top targets for Daniel Jones in a Sunday night matchup with the Bengals.

  • Giants' Malik Nabers: No practice Thursday

Nabers (concussion) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Nabers hasn't practiced since suffering a concussion in the waning moments of the Giants' Week 4 loss to the Cowboys on Thursday, Sept. 26. Coach Brian Daboll even told Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports on Thursday that Nabers didn't make any progress through the protocol for head injuries from one day prior. Nabers was seen on a stationary bike Thursday, but it was the only activity he managed after running and taking part in other football-related drills Wednesday, per Dan Duggan of The Athletic. Despite having one more session remaining during Week 6 prep, Nabers thus seems to be trending in the wrong direction ahead of Sunday's game against the Bengals.

  • Giants' Malik Nabers: No progress through protocol

Giants coach Brian Daboll said Nabers didn't make progress through concussion protocol between Wednesday and Thursday, Ralph Vacchiano of Fox Sports reports. It hints at a second straight absence, although Nabers still has a couple days to advance through the protocol before Sunday night's matchup with the Bengals. He was limited to side work Wednesday and listed as a non-participant on the injury report.

  • Giants' Malik Nabers: Day-to-day, getting work on side

Giants head coach Brian Daboll said that Nabers (concussion) is day-to-day and will get some work in on the side at practice Wednesday, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports. Daboll said Nabers is "doing better," but the rookie first-round pick still hasn't progressed enough through the NFL's concussion protocol to do anything more at practice than working with trainers on the side field. Still, Nabers is making progress after not having been able to practice in any capacity prior to being ruled out for New York's win over the Seahawks in Week 5. If Nabers is to suit up for Sunday's game against the Bengals he will need to pass through all phases of the five-step concussion protocol, including gaining clearance from an independent neurologist.

  • Giants' Malik Nabers: Won't practice Wednesday

Giants head coach Brian Daboll said that Nabers (concussion) won't participate in practice Wednesday, Jordan Raanan of ESPN.com reports. Daboll said Nabers is in the "early stages" of the NFL's concussion protocol and "day-to-day," per Patricia Traina of SI.com. The rookie first-round pick will need to fully pass through the NFL's five-step protocol -- including gaining clearance from an independent neurologist -- before being given the green light to return to the field, making him uncertain for Sunday's road matchup against the Seahawks. The impressive rookie will at least benefit from a few extra days to get healthy, given that he was placed in the concussion protocol last Thursday, during New York's 20-15 loss to Dallas.

  • Giants' Malik Nabers: Huge volume in Sunday's loss

Nabers caught 10 of 18 targets for 127 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 21-18 loss to the Commanders. The rookie wideout was Daniel Jones' first read, and usually his only one, for most of the afternoon, as the rest of the Giants' pass catchers combined for only six catches on 10 targets for 51 yards. While a four-yard grab just before halftime gave Nabers his first career TD, it was one of the passes he couldn't haul in that will likely stick with him. On New York's final possession in the fourth quarter with the score tied 18-18, Nabers couldn't handle a sideline pass on fourth down that would have extended the team's drive. With his spot as the Giants' top downfield threat secure, Nabers will face a much tougher test in Week 3 against the Browns' stingy secondary.

  • Giants' Malik Nabers: No concerns for Week 1

Nabers (ankle), who is not practicing Tuesday, said he has "no doubt" he'll be able to play in Week 1 and that his injury is "nothing serious," Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports. Coach Brian Daboll said Monday that Nabers is considered day-to-day after leaving Sunday's practice due to an ankle issue, and MRI and X-Ray tests revealed Tuesday that the rookie first-round pick has indeed avoided a serious issue. Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports that the issue is a sprain, which Nabers said won't need any support when he's ready to return to action. It's a relief that his availability for New York's regular-season opener against Minnesota on Sept. 8 isn't in jeopardy, but the injury will force him to miss some practice time in training camp and could impact his status for the Giants' final two preseason games, starting with Saturday's matchup against Houston.
