Fantasy News

  • Texans' Kamari Lassiter: Ruled out for Sunday

Lassiter (ankle/knee) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's game against the Colts, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports. Lassiter was unable to practice at all this week due to the ankle injury he sustained during the Texans' Week 17 win over the Chargers. The cornerback was able to return to last Sunday's game, so he must have suffered a setback during the week that will prevent him from playing through the issue. With Lassiter out, Tremon Smith will likely start opposite Derek Stingley at outside cornerback for Sunday's divisional contest.

  • Texans' Kamari Lassiter: Sits out of Wednesday's practice

Lassiter (ankle) did not practice Wednesday. Lassiter was diagnosed with a knee injury during the Texans' Week 17 win over the Chargers but was cleared to return before the end of the first half. The injury has since been updated to an ankle issue, which prevented him from participating in the opening practice of Week 18 prep. The second-year cornerback will have two more opportunities to return to practice ahead of the Texans' regular-season finale against the Colts on Sunday.

  • Texans' Kamari Lassiter: Returns before half

Lassiter (knee) has returned to Saturday's game, Jonathan M. Alexander of the Houston Chronicle reports. Lassiter left in the second quarter but was able to return before the end of the half. The cornerback was back in the game to help force the Chargers to a missed field-goal attempt.

  • Texans' Kamari Lassiter: Questionable to return with knee

Lassiter (knee) is questionable to return to Saturday's game against the Chargers. Lassiter left near the end of the first half, and the cornerback's ability to return to the game remains to be determined. Before his exit, the 22-year-old participated in one tackle.

  • Texans' Kamari Lassiter: Ready to rock

Lassiter (foot) does not carry an injury designation for Saturday's game against the Chargers. Lassiter has gained clearance to suit up Week 17 after having logged a DNP/LP/FP slate of practices. Expect the second-year pro to handle his usual every-down role at cornerback on the road against Los Angeles on Saturday.

  • Texans' Kamari Lassiter: Misses practice Tuesday

Lassiter (foot) was a non-participant in practice Tuesday. Lassiter has been dealing with a foot injury throughout December, but the issue hasn't caused him to sit out any games. He's missed the first day of practice each of the past four weeks, so Tuesday's DNP shouldn't be particularly alarming. Unless Lassiter suffered a setback during Sunday's win over Las Vegas, he seems likely to play Saturday versus the Chargers.

  • Texans' Kamari Lassiter: Ready for Sunday

Lassiter (foot) doesn't have an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Raiders. Lassiter missed Wednesday's practice and was limited Thursday, so Friday's upgrade to full participation was enough to clear the cornerback of any injury designation he may have carried into Sunday's contest. The starter opposite Derek Stingley, Lassiter has not registered a game under a 93 percent defensive snap share this season, and that streak is not likely to be broken Sunday.

  • Texans' Kamari Lassiter: Picks off Brissett in Week 15 win

Lassiter tallied five tackles (three solo) and two pass defenses, including an interception, during the Texans' 40-20 win over the Cardinals on Sunday. Lassiter was able to shake off a foot injury to play in Sunday's game and ended up playing in 63 of 65 defensive snaps (96.9 percent). He logged his fourth interception of the season early in the third quarter on a pass from Jacoby Brissett that was intended for Michael Wilson in the end zone. Lassiter has logged one pick in back-to-back games, and his four interceptions (through 14 regular-season games) is tied for sixth most in the NFL.

  • Texans' Kamari Lassiter: Ready to rock

Lassiter (foot) doesn't have an injury designation ahead of Sunday's game against the Cardinals. Lassiter managed to log a limited practice Friday, his first of the week, and it was enough to clear the cornerback of an injury designation for Sunday's contest. Now that he's past the foot injury he suffered against the Chiefs in Week 14, the cornerback will likely continue the streak of 100 percent defensive snaps he has logged since Week 8.

  • Texans' Kamari Lassiter: Reels in third INT of 2025

Lassiter recorded six tackles (five solo), two pass breakups and an interception in Sunday's 20-10 win over the Chiefs. Lassiter now has 12 pass breakups and three interceptions through 13 games, adding 72 tackles (50 solo) in the process. His steady tackle count is intriguing for fantasy purposes, and the 2024 second-round pick has missed only six defensive snaps all season.

  • Texans' Kamari Lassiter: Active for SNF

Lassiter (foot) is active for Sunday night's matchup with the Chiefs. The cornerback entered the day with a questionable tag after missing two practices this past week, though he did get in a limited session Friday. Lassiter has played nearly every defensive snap this season for Houston, recording 66 total tackles (45 solo) and 10 pass breakups, including two interceptions.

  • Texans' Kamari Lassiter: Sidelined to begin week

Lassiter (foot) did not practice Wednesday. Lassiter hasn't been on the injury report since Week 2, but he'll be sidelined to begin the Texans' prep for a Week 14 matchup against the Chiefs. There's not much indication as to the seriousness of the issue, so his practice participation for the rest of the week will be important to monitor.

  • Texans' Kamari Lassiter: Five tackles in win over Buffalo

Lassiter recorded five tackles (five solo) and one pass breakup in Thursday night's win over the Bills. Lassiter played 100 percent of the defensive snaps for the fifth straight contest and played lockdown coverage against Buffalo, as Josh Allen completed just three passes for 28 scoreless yards when targeting Lassiter. The second-year cornerback has produced 63 tackles (44 solo) and 10 pass breakups, including two interceptions, across 11 games this season.

  • Texans' Kamari Lassiter: Posts two stops in Week 11 win

Lassiter recorded two tackles (one solo) and a defensed pass Sunday in a 16-13 victory versus Tennessee. Lassiter played every defensive snap for the Texans but had a meager two tackles for the second straight week. That's not a reflection of Lassiter's level of play -- he was impressive again Sunday, as he has been throughout the season, but that sometimes limits the amount of tackles he gets to make. To highlight that point, Lassiter has notched at least one defensed pass in seven straight contests, the longest such streak in the NFL this season.

  • Texans' Kamari Lassiter: Quiet output in Week 10 win

Lassiter recorded two tackles (both solo) and a defensed pass Sunday in a 36-29 victory versus Jacksonville. Lassiter played every defensive snap for Houston but logged a season-low two stops. He did, however, manage to record a defensed pass for the sixth straight game. The low tackle total doesn't take away from Lassiter's strong play, and he even slid over to the slot at times in nickel packages. Lassiter is tied for 14th in the league with eight defensed passes so far this season.

  • Texans' Kamari Lassiter: Picks up five tackles in win

Lassiter recorded five tackles (two solo) and two pass breakups in the Texans' win over the Titans on Sunday. Lassiter has played all 260 defensive snaps for Houston this season and has produced 24 tackles (16 solo) and two pass breakups across four contests. While Derek Stingley typically chases No. 1 wide receivers, Lassiter sees mostly No. 2 outside receivers in coverage.

  • Texans' Kamari Lassiter: Good to go for Week 3

Lassiter (knee) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Jaguars. Lassiter was limited in practice earlier in the week but is good to go for Sunday's divisional matchup. Lassiter has logged 100 percent of the defensive snaps through two games and has recorded 14 tackles (nine solo).

  • Texans' Kamari Lassiter: Records nine tackles in loss

Lassiter recorded nine tackles (five solo) in Houston's loss to the Rams on Sunday. Lassiter started at cornerback opposite Derek Stingley, and his nine tackles led the team, as Matthew Stafford picked on Lassiter instead of the first-team All-Pro Stingley. Lassiter was in coverage on Stafford's touchdown pass to Davis Allen.

  • Texans' Kamari Lassiter: Inactive for MNF

Lassiter (concussion) is inactive for Monday Night Football against the Cowboys. The cornerback suffered the concussion in Week 10 against the Lions, missed both practice sessions to start the new week and was a limited participant Saturday. Lassiter has 29 tackles (22 solo) and eight pass breakups, including three interceptions, in eight games this season. Ka'dar Hollman might be in line to take his place opposite Derek Stingley in the Houston secondary.

  • Texans' Kamari Lassiter: Remains in concussion protocols

Lassiter (concussion) was listed as a DNP on Thursday's injury report, DJ Bien-Aime of ESPN.com reports. Lassiter was diagnosed with a concussion during Houston's Week 10 loss to Detroit, which prevented him from practicing Thursday. Even if Lassiter was able to return to practice over the next two days, that doesn't guarantee he will be able to pass through the league's five-step concussion protocols in time to play against Dallas on Monday. Ka'dar Hollman saw increased snaps on defense in Week 10 following Lassiter's exit, and the former finished with four solo tackles across 25 defensive snaps.
