Akeem Judd: Lands on reserve/retired list
The Packers placed Judd on the reserve/retired list Saturday, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
It appears Judd -- a second-year tailback who didn't see the field for the Jets last season -- will call it a career after rushing five times for three yards during Thursday's game against the Steelers. His retirement opens the door for the signing of Leshun Daniels.

Packers' Akeem Judd: Struggles in second preseason outing
Judd posted five carries for three yards in Thursday's preseason win over the Steelers.
Judd was held in check on each of his five carries, especially since his long run on the night was for four yards - one more yard than he finished with. The tailback has now accumulated just 22 yards on 11 carries through two preseason games and isn't expected to be in consideration for the team's final roster.

Packers' Akeem Judd: Signed by Green Bay
Judd signed a contract with the Packers on Monday, the team's official site reports.
Judd, who went undrafted out of Ole Miss in 2017, spent much of his rookie season on the Jets practice squad before eventually being promoted to the active roster in December. He ultimately landed on injured reserve with an ankle injury, so he has yet to record a single touch in the NFL. He'll provide depth at running back for the Packers in training camp with fellow reserve Devante Mays currently nursing a hamstring injury.

Judd spent the last game of 2017 on injured reserve but didn't carry an injury designation upon his release, implying he's at full health. The 25-year-old running back didn't log an offensive snap in his rookie campaign.

Judd was waived/injured by the team after suffering a thumb injury. As expected, he cleared waivers and subsequently landed on IR. Unless both parties can come to terms on an injury settlement, the 24-year-old will remain there for the entire 2017 season.
