Ferguson brought in three of six targets for 32 yards in the Cowboys' 27-20 loss to the Bengals on Monday night.
Making his return from a two-game absence due to a concussion, Ferguson finished second in receptions, receiving yards and targets for the Cowboys on the night. Cooper Rush only threw for 183 yards overall, so Ferguson's production was serviceable if unspectacular in that context. The promising tight end draws a favorable matchup in a Week 15 road clash with the Panthers.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Cleared for primetime game
Rotowire
Ferguson (concussion) does not carry an injury designation ahead of Monday's matchup against the Bengals, Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Ferguson was a full participant in Thursday's practice, clearing the way for the veteran to return from his two-game absence. Dak Prescott (hamstring) clearly had a chemistry with Ferguson, one that might not be as prevalent with backup quarterback Cooper Rush, but Ferguson's replacement, Luke Schoonmaker, did see 20 targets over the past three games. It's possible Ferguson will step right into the role that allowed Schoonmaker to have some fantasy relevance, and there figures to be plenty of passing opportunities come Monday against the porous Bengals defense.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Sleeper TEs
Rotowire
Ferguson has been out for the past two games with a concussion, but he's expected to return Monday night against the Bengals. And this matchup is amazing since tight ends have destroyed Cincinnati of late, with four guys scoring at least 15.5 PPR points against the Bengals in the past four games, including Brock Bowers, Mark Andrews, Will Dissly, and Pat Freiermuth. Ferguson hasn't scored a touchdown yet this season, but he could end that slump against Cincinnati. He has top-10 upside in all leagues in Week 14.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Logs full practice Thursday
Rotowire
Ferguson (concussion) practiced in full Thursday, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
This marks Ferguson's first official practice since he sustained a concussion in the first quarter of a Week 11 loss to the Texans. With an uncapped session under his belt Thursday, he appears to be closing in on emerging from the protocol for head injuries, but it's unclear yet if he's gained clearance from an independent neurologist. In any case, Ferguson has plenty of time to do so ahead of Monday's game against the Bengals.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Trending up for Week 14
Rotowire
Ferguson (concussion) participated in Wednesday's walk-through session, David Moore of The Dallas Morning News reports.
The Cowboys host the Bengals on Monday night in Week 14, so the team won't issue its first injury report until Thursday. Nonetheless, it was a positive sign for Ferguson's likelihood of returning to game action that he was able to take part Wednesday in what Moore deemed a "mock game." Ferguson has missed both of the Cowboys' past two contests after suffering a concussion Week 11 against Houston, and though he was on the field Wednesday, it's not yet certain whether he's cleared the NFL's five-step concussion protocol.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Sleepers (Start/Sit)
Rotowire
I'm sticking with Otton for another week despite his struggles in the past two games since Mike Evans returned from his hamstring injury. Over that span, Otton has just five catches for 50 yards on 10 targets, and he combined for only 10 PPR points against the Giants and Panthers. But I'm counting on Otton to deliver against the Raiders, who are No. 4 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends. In the past four games against Las Vegas, tight ends have combined for 34 catches for 413 yards and five touchdowns, with five guys scoring at least 9.8 PPR points. Otton should once again be a top-10 Fantasy tight end in all leagues this week.
I want to roster both Jake Ferguson and Luke Schoonmaker until we find out if the former is coming back in Week 14. The Bengals have allowed the second-most Fantasy points to opposing tight ends and they've been by far the worst against the position over the last month.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Week 14 Waiver Priority List
Rotowire
I'm hopeful that Ferguson can return in Week 14 against the Bengals after being out for the past two games with a concussion, and Cincinnati is No. 2 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends. Then he faces Carolina in Week 15, and the Panthers are No. 1 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends. After that, he gets Tampa Bay, which is No. 6 in most Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends. Ferguson has yet to score a touchdown this season, but he would be a borderline starter in all leagues in those matchups. He's worth adding for 5-10 percent of your remaining FAB. If Ferguson remains out then add Luke Schoonmaker (14 percent rostered), who has scored at least 8.3 PPR points in each of his past three games. Schoonmaker is worth 1 percent.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Unavailable in Week 13
Rotowire
Ferguson (concussion) has been ruled out for Thursday's contest against the Giants, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Ferguson thus will miss a second game in a row due to the concussion that he suffered in the first quarter of a Week 11 loss to the Texans. Considering he hasn't practiced since suffering the injury, he likely hasn't made much, if any, progress through league's five-step protocol. In any case, for as long as Ferguson is sidelined, Luke Schoonmaker and Brevyn Spann-Ford will continue to serve as the Cowboys' top tight ends.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Another missed practice Tuesday
Rotowire
Ferguson (concussion) did not practice Tuesday, Jane Slater of NFL Network reports.
Per Todd Archer of ESPN.com, Ferguson was spotted working off to the side during the portion of Tuesday's practice that was open to the media, but the tight end hasn't progressed enough through the NFL's five-step concussion protocol to take part in non-contact drills. Ferguson appears to be trending toward missing a second straight game this Thursday against the Giants, with Cowboys executive Stephen Jones having already noted earlier in the week that the 25-year-old was "a little more of a long shot" to play Thanksgiving Day, according to Jon Machota of The Athletic. Luke Schoonmaker and Brevyn Spann-Ford would again handle tight end duties if Ferguson isn't cleared to play.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Still in concussion protocol
Rotowire
Coach Mike McCarthy said Monday that Ferguson remains in the concussion protocol, Joe Hoyt of AllDLLS.com reports.
Ferguson made an early exit from the Cowboys' Week 11 loss to the Texans due to a concussion, which resulted in inactive status Sunday at Washington. On Monday, executive vice president Stephen Jones told 105.3 The Fan that Ferguson is "a little more of a long shot" to play Thursday against the Giants, which was corroborated by his continued listing of DNP on Monday's practice estimate. Assuming Ferguson ends up missing a second game in a row later this week, Luke Schoonmaker (3-55-1 line on four targets, 65 percent snap share Sunday) and Brevyn Spann-Ford (2-24-0 on two targets, 50 percent) will continue to man tight end for Dallas.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Ruled out for Sunday
Rotowire
Ferguson (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game at Washington, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports.
Ferguson hasn't practiced since entering concussion protocol in the first quarter of Monday's loss to Houston. His absence for most of the night left more opportunities for both Luke Schoonmaker and Brevyn Spann-Ford, with Schoonmaker catching six of 10 targets for 56 yards on 53 percent snap share while Spann-Ford caught four of five targets for 32 yards on 49 percent of snaps. Ferguson's next chance to play will be a Thanksgiving home game against the Giants on Nov. 28.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: No practice Wednesday
Rotowire
Ferguson (concussion) didn't take part in Wednesday's practice.
Ferguson's absence from practice comes as no surprise after he exited Monday's loss to the Texans early after sustaining a concussion. Head coach Mike McCarthy told Calvin Watkins of The Dallas Morning News on Tuesday that Ferguson would be "hard pressed" to play Sunday in Washington, but any progress the tight end is able to display Thursday or Friday may give a better sense of when he'll be available to the Cowboys offense again. Meanwhile, Luke Schoonmaker was the main beneficiary among Dallas tight ends Monday, gathering in six of 10 targets for 56 yards.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Done for Week 11 due to concussion
Rotowire
Ferguson has been ruled out for the remainder of Monday's game against Houston due to a concussion, Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Ferguson was hurt in the first quarter and subsequently entered concussion protocol. The Cowboys have since ruled their No. 1 tight end out for the remainder of the contest. Ferguson finishes Week 11 with one catch (on one target) for 11 yards. Luke Schoonmaker likely will take on the majority of Dallas' tight-end snaps in Ferguson's stead.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Comes down with illness
Rotowire
Ferguson didn't practice Thursday due to an illness, Adam Caplan of SiriusXM NFL Radio reports.
Ferguson has caught multiple passes in all eight appearances this season en route to a 42-358-0 line on 57 targets. With Dak Prescott (hamstring) out for the season, Ferguson now is on the receiving end of passes from Cooper Rush, but first the tight end will need to get past his current ailment in order to make himself available Monday against the Texans.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: TEs to Sit
Rotowire
In his first game with Cooper Rush starting for the injured Dak Prescott (hamstring) in Week 10 against Philadelphia, Ferguson had four catches for 24 yards on five targets. He hasn't scored a touchdown yet this season, and now he's facing a tough Texans defense, which is No. 1 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends. I would only start Ferguson in deeper leagues in Week 11.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Fumble negates mild production
Rotowire
Ferguson caught four of five targets for 24 yards while losing a fumble in Sunday's 34-6 loss to the Eagles.
Ferguson led the Cowboys in receiving yardage in a game during which the offense mustered just 66 passing yards. The tight end's mild output was virtually negated when he coughed up one of Dallas' four lost fumbles Sunday. Ferguson was an average fantasy option when Dak Prescott (hamstring) was under center, but with the latter possibly done for the season, it is safe to downgrade the Cowboys' position players if Cooper Rush continues to start against the Texans next Monday.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: TEs to Sit
Rotowire
Ferguson has been held to 8.3 PPR points or less in two of his past three games, and he hasn't scored a touchdown all season. And now he's going from Dak Prescott (hamstring) to Cooper Rush in a tough matchup against the Eagles, who are No. 4 in fewest Fantasy points allowed to opposing tight ends. No tight end has scored a touchdown against Philadelphia this year, and only Cade Otton in Week 4 and Mike Gesicki in Week 8 have scored double digits in PPR points.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Contrarian DFS Play
Rotowire
Ferguson has been a disappointment this season, but I like his chances to bounce back in a game against the Falcons with an over.under of 52.5. He has seen seven or more targets in four of his last five games, he just hasn't reached the end zone this year. I bet that changes in Week 9.

Cowboys' Jake Ferguson: Does little with eight targets
Rotowire
Ferguson caught six of eight targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 30-24 loss to the 49ers.
Ferguson didn't get in on the scoring fun that the tight end position enjoyed on National Tight Ends Day in the NFL. Instead, Ferguson had multiple defenders swarming to him on each of his six short catches, none of which went for more than 10 yards. He has at least six catches in four of his last five games, so Ferguson figures to see substantial volume again in Week 9 against the Falcons.
