The Buccaneers waived Peterson (undisclosed) from injured reserve Thursday with an injury settlement, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
The injury settlement allows Peterson to sign with another team once he's recovered from whatever is ailing him.

Buccaneers' Shaun Peterson: Reverts to injured reserve
Peterson (undisclosed) reverted to injured reserve Wednesday, according to the NFL's official transaction log.
The linebacker needs to reach an injury settlement with the Buccaneers to have a chance to play in 2024. The 24-year-old made 14 tackles in 12 games in 2023 for UCF.
