Moore (concussion) had five tackles (three solo) in Saturday's preseason game against the Cowboys.
Moore sat out the second preseason game due to the concussion, but he cleared the protocol and played 27 defensive snaps in Saturday's contest. The 23-year-old exclusively played special teams last season after signing as an undrafted free agent out of Ole Miss.
Moore did not play in Saturday's preseason game due to a concussion, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Moore appeared in all 16 games on special teams for the Texans in 2018. When healthy, he's expected to play a similar role but has moved up the depth chart at safety and could find playing time on defense.
Moore was claimed off waivers from the Patriots on Sunday.
Moore was an undrafted free agent out of the University of Mississippi. He started all 12 games in his senior year as the Rebels' primary nickel corner. He registered 48 tackles, a sack, a fumble recovery, and three pass breakups. To clear spot on the roster for Moore, the Texans waived safety Kurtis Drummond.
