Veteran Saints linebacker Parys Haralson is hoping to finish his career on Bourbon Street. He isn't planning on retiring after this season, but he wants to remain with the tea m until his career comes to a close, according to

"I like being with the Saints, so hopefully that will be my last stop whenever it's time for me to retire," Haralson said. "Maybe the Saints will be the last team I play with and I'll retire as a Saint. I'm not saying it'll be my last stop in the NFL, but I just don't want to be that guy that goes another year here, another year there, and then retires."

Haralson played all 16 games in 2014, totaling 35 tackles with three sacks. He also said he enjoys playing for defensive coordinator Rob Ryan.

"I'm not going to lie, I love playing for Rob, and knowing that he was going to be back, is something that I was fired up about," Haralson said. "Knowing that he was going to be back was like a plus."

Saints re-sign Shayne Graham, Parys Haralson for league minimum

The Saints have re-signed kicker Shayne Graham and outside linebacker Parys Haralson to league minimum contracts for 2015, reports

Graham, who is entering his 15th season in the league, will earn $970,000 and Haralson, entering his 10th season, will earn $870,000.

Graham went 19 of 22 on field goals in 2014 with a long of 50 yards and also went 46 of 47 on extra points. Haralson totaled 35 tackles for the Saints in 2014 with three sacks.

The Saints re-signed linebacker Parys Haralson to a one-year deal, the team announced on Thursday. Haralson, 31, played in every game last season, recording 35 tackles and three sacks.

Haralson spent his first seven seasons with the 49ers before joining New Orleans in 2013.

The Saints have agreed to a one-year deal with linebacker Parys Haralson Tuesday, the financial terms of which are not yet known.

Haralson appeared in all 16 games for the Saints after he was acquired in a preseason trade. He recorded 35 tackles -- 16 solo -- and 3.5 sacks in eight starts. He is an eight-year veteran.

The Saints have had preliminary discussions about re-signing linebacker Parys Haralson, reports Haralson, 30, had 30 tackles and 3.5 sacks as a rotational player in the regular season.

He tore his pectoral muscle in the playoff win in Philadelphia, but is expected to be ready for spring OTAs, the report said.

The Saints put linebacker Parys Haralson on injured reserve. He tore a pectoral muscle in the playoff win in Philadelphia. To replace him, the Saints promoted linebacker Rufus Johnson from the practice squad.

New Orleans also waived safety Isa Abdul-Quddus and signed safety Jordan Pugh.

Parys Haralson exits with chest injury

Saints linebacker Parys Haralson was forced out of Saturday's Wild Card playoff game against the Eagles in Philadelphia with a chest injury.

Haralson suffered the injury late in the first half and was escorted back to the locker for further tests. He was unableto return for the remainder of the game and was seen in a sling in the locker room after the game. Initial reports from FOX Sports 1 are that he suffered a torn pectoral muscle.

Saints DST gets humbled in Seattle

The Saints gave up a season-high 34 points in their loss at Seattle, though one touchdown was a defensive score. New Orleans had no answer for Russell Wilson, who accounted for 357 yards and three touchdowns without committing a turnover.

The Saints DST managed one sack, by linebacker Parys Haralson. The unit forced running back Marshawn Lynch to fumble in the first quarter, but Seattle recovered.

The Saints DST should have more success at home vs. the Panthers in Week 14.

The Saints DST did not produce a turnover in the Week 10 blowout of the Cowboys, but otherwise turned in a strong performance. New Orleans held Dallas to 194 total yards and did not allow a third-down conversion.

Defensive ends Glenn Foster and Tom Johnson and linebacker Parys Haralson all registered sacks for the Saints, who have a tasty matchup Week 11 at home vs. the 49ers.

49ers trade Parys Haralson to Saints

The 49ers announced Tuesday they traded linebacker Parys Haralson to the Saints for an undisclosed 2014 draft choice. 

"Parys has been a consummate professional throughout his seven years as a 49er," 49ers general manager Trent Baalke said, per "His leadership, work ethic and dedication to our organization, and the Bay Area community, have provided a great example for our locker room. We would like to thank Parys for his many contributions on and off the field and wish him the very best."

Sources said the 49ers are shopping veteran outside linebacker Parys Haralson, according to CSN Bay Area. Although Haralson renegotiated his salary from $2.67 million to $1.15 million in the offseason, the 49ers are looking for cheaper backup options to Aldon Smith and Ahmad Brooks.

Haralson moved to injured reserve

The 49ers placed linebacker Parys Haralson on season-ending injured reserve Monday with an apparent left arm injury, according to the San Jose Mercury News. Haralson suffered the injury during San Francisco's third exhibition game and missed the preseason finale. The 49ers signed linebacker Clark Haggans on Sunday to take his place on the active roster.
