Blackhawks' Cam Morrison: Promoted to taxi squad
Morrison was added to the taxi squad Friday, CapFriendly reports.
Morrison signed an entry-level deal prior to this season after a four-year collegiate career with Notre Dame. He hasn't played in a professional game yet but could see time on Chicago's active roster down the stretch.

Blackhawks' Cam Morrison: Inks entry-level deal with Chicago
Morrison signed a two-year, entry-level contract with the Blackhawks on Tuesday.
Morrison spent the past four seasons at the University of Notre Dame, racking up 44 goals and 95 points in in 149 games. Originally selected by the Avalanche in the second round of the 2016 draft, the 6-foot-2, 200-plus pound winger projects to be a power forward at the next level, which means he could get an opportunity to contribute in the Blackhawks' bottom six sooner rather than later. He'll fight for a spot on the big club's Opening Night roster during next season's training camp.

Avalanche's Cam Morrison: Playing well for Notre Dame
Morrison picked up three assists in Notre Dame's 5-3 win over the University of Minnesota on Saturday.
With eight points in his first six games, Morrison's senior season at Notre Dame is off to a strong start. His game hasn't developed as expected since the Avalanche selected him No. 40 overall back in 2016, but he would, at the very least, make for nice roster depth in the Colorado system. Morrison can become an unrestricted free agent next summer if he decides he does not want to sign with the Avalanche.
