Huuhtanen accounted for three helpers, 10 PIM and a plus-1 over five outings with AHL Syracuse in 2025-26, and he also suited up once for ECHL Orlando. The 2021 seventh-round selection has never appeared in an NHL game.

Huuhtanen (undisclosed) was assigned to AHL Syracuse by the Lightning on Thursday, according to the official AHL transaction log.
Huuhtanen began the season on the injured non-roster list while battling an undisclosed injury, but he is healthy again and has been assigned to the AHL. The 22-year-old debuted for Syracuse on Saturday and recorded two assists in a 7-4 loss.

Huuhtanen will likely head to AHL Syracuse once he's ready to return to action. He had eight goals and 20 points in 51 regular-season appearances with Tampa Bay's top minor-league affiliate in 2024-25.
