  • Canadiens' David Reinbacher: Likely bound for Europe

    Reinbacher is expected to return to Kloten HC of the Swiss-A league this season, Stu Cowan of the Montreal Gazette reports. Montreal president of hockey operations Jeff Gorton said nothing is definite, but "it's more than likely" that Reinbacher, selected fifth overall in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, will return to Europe. For now, the defenseman will participate with fellow rookies in a rookie tournament this weekend in Buffalo. Following that, the 18-year-old will join the team for training camp.

  • Canadiens' David Reinbacher: Recalled from loan

    Reinbacher was recalled from his loan with HC Kloten in Switzerland on Tuesday, per CapFriendly. This is likely a procedural move to allow Reinbacher to attend NHL training camp. The fifth overall pick from this year's draft could be loaned back to Kloten if he doesn't make Montreal's Opening Night roster.
