Shoemaker (head) underwent a follow-up CT scan Sunday morning, which came back negative.
While the results of the scan are encouraging, it's still uncertain when or if Shoemaker will return this season. Daniel Wright has since claimed Shoemaker's spot in the rotation and will likely continue to make starts as long as the right-hander remains sidelined.
