Pinder is starting at second base and hitting second Thursday against the Angles.
Pinder wasn't in the original starting lineup, but entered after Shohei Ohtani was scratched from the start. With southpaw Patrick Sandoval on the mound, Mitch Moreland was removed from the lineup. Jed Lowrie is now slated to serve as the designated hitter.
