Blanco (thumb) is out of the lineup Sunday against the Marlins.
A jammed left thumb will confine Blanco to the bench for the third straight contest, affording Reymond Fuentes another start in center field. According to Glenn Sattell of MLB.com, Blanco said Saturday that his thumb is improving and noted that after having Monday's off day to recuperate, he thinks he'll be ready to go for the series opener with the Padres on Tuesday.
