Alfaro will move from catcher to start in left field Tuesday against the Mets, Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald reports.
Alfaro has served as Miami's primary backstop this season, so the transition to left field is somewhat unexpected. The change could very possibly be related to transactions that will be made prior to Tuesday's first pitch, though no roster moves have been announced at this point.
