Gordon is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Pirates, Christina De Nicola of MLB.com reports.
Gordon started in left field Thursday and went 0-for-3 with a strikeout, but he'll hit the bench Friday with southpaw Martin Perez on the mound for Pittsburgh. Bryan De La Cruz will take over in left field while Josh Bell receives a turn at designated hitter.
