Mets' Nick Tropeano: Dropped from 40-man roster

Tropeano was designated for assignment by the Mets on Friday, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Tropeano was removed from the active roster Monday and has now been removed from the 40-man roster as well. With a career 4.22 ERA in parts of seven major-league seasons, he could be a relatively attractive option on the waiver wire.
