Orioles' DJ Stewart: Clears waivers

The Orioles outrighted Stewart to Triple-A Norfolk on Monday.

Stewart will remain in the organization since none of MLB's other 29 teams were willing to put in a waiver claim on the 28-year-old outfielder after the Orioles designated him for assignment a week ago. He should get the chance to play regularly for Norfolk, but his lack of a 40-man roster spot may make it difficult for him to resurface with the big club this season.
