Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said Wednesday that he's hopeful Stewart (hand) can rejoin the Grapefruit League lineup in two or three days, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.
Hyde expressed optimism about Stewart's chances of breaking camp with the big club after he took part in some light hitting Wednesday. Stewart continues to sport a protective wrap on his left hand after he was struck by a pitch one week ago, and as long as he avoids any setbacks while ramping up the intensity of his swinging in the next couple days, he looks like he could be back in the spring lineup by the weekend.
