Quinn (Achilles) was designated for assignment by the Phillies on Monday.
Quinn has plenty of speed but hasn't shown much else in parts of five major-league seasons, hitting .228/.306/.355 with 39 steals in 512 plate appearances. He's also battled far more than his fair share of injuries, most recently missing most of last season and potentially the start of the next due to a ruptured left Achilles tendon. It's possible he gets claimed off waivers by a team that intends to use him as a fourth or fifth outfielder, but he hasn't shown enough to suggest he deserves everyday at-bats.
