Phillies' Tyler Phillips: Claimed by Phillies

Phillips was claimed off waivers by the Phillies on Saturday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.

Phillips was designated for assignment by the Rangers on Saturday. He's yet to make his big-league debut and owns a 6.75 ERA in 25.1 innings across the two highest levels of the minors this season, so it's unlikely the Phillies see him as someone who can help patch the team's leaky bullpen immediately.
