Rangers' Evan Carter: Kicks off rehab assignment

Carter (quadriceps) started in center field, batted leadoff and went 0-for-3 for Triple-A Round Rock on Friday.

Carter played six innings in the first game of a rehab assignment. Texas manager Bruce Bochy told Kennedi Landry of MLB.com that Carter will get another "two or three days" before the club assesses the 22-year-old outfielder.
